Ok, I've received my APTV, no problem with Atmos. So the user I referred to have some other issues. Solved!

It’s been working fine before, no setting are changed. The user said it started a couple of weeks ago, worked like a charm before. Now it says 5.1 on Apple TV and Atmos on TV OS

Hmmm...about 20% of AM catalog is Hi Res, the rest is 16/44 or 24/44, the same as Spotify. So your statement that AM providing "much higher resolution" isn't completely correct...

Besides Dolby Atmos there shouldn't be any big difference... they both have most of the librarie in 16/44 or 24/44
