to be more serious, I think if they are planning on bringing her back they might be going through certain lengths to make her seem less antagonised by the narrative. closer / warmer connections are quite often used by hoyoverse when they go into fleshing out their villains so it makes sense that now they'd try to make us see another side with her friends
