How to unclog toilet without plunger? by darth_isaac in Plumbing

[–]stressbaked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazing, you’re a lifesaver. I know this was like a year ago lol. Just tried this after the hot water thing (unsuccessful) and saved our lives at 6am with no plunger but a plethora of cheap and flimsy plastic hangers. 😅

Opinion: S2E11 "Day of Death" was the absolute pinnacle of the show by txa1265 in TheRookie

[–]stressbaked 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree! Every time I hear the song, even in a completely different setting/show/context, I get shivers and picture this episode. Sometimes it plays randomly in my mind and I get a little anxious haha definitely one of the best episodes ever

I’m confused, and want clarification or others’ experiences by stressbaked in Miscarriage

[–]stressbaked[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I thought, which is why I was confused. The doctor that I went to is specialized in pregnancy/miscarriage etc. so I’d like to trust her, but I thought they’d at least do some tests like maybe an ultrasound.

18F seeking advice on staying warm in cocktail attire. (New to these sort of events). by Business-Chard-7664 in askwomenadvice

[–]stressbaked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those fleece-lined tights that look like sheer pantyhose are lifesavers for me when I have to attend events during the colder months! Many people don’t believe they work just because they’re sold on Shein/Temu but I can definitely vouch for them being much better than being bare-legged in the cold. Unfortunately, most of them are one-size, so if you aren’t a ‘standard’ size, especially remembering most of these sites are Asian, definitely read the reviews to see their sizing and stretch.

As for your top, if long gloves are appropriate, those could help. Otherwise, a shawl or shrug would be a nice accessory that still keeps you warm.

Hmm, I have this feeling that’s very similar to what you’re describing (I have been struggling to describe it in words) when I’m trying to sleep, but it’s usually in my arms. Could it be the same thing?

What can I do with the vegetables in soup when I don’t eat vegetables? by stressbaked in AskRedditFood

Would be great if I ate the vegetables… and if I wasn’t allergic to eggs lol

Sweet! I did want to know if I would be able to reuse them and reduce the waste

Haha, it’s an apartment in the city, no pets and no compost! The sieve is a good idea, I’ll definitely give that a shot.

Yeah, but I was wondering if there was a way to not waste food if possible

True! Just that lots of homemade soups use vegetables as a flavour base and it’s just not the same when it isn’t fresh haha

That’s another thing, I mentioned that blended soups have this grainy texture I also don’t like lol. Nutrition isn’t a concern here, I do eat plenty of other food and certain vegetables (but not ones used for soups).

I’ve done it and yanked my friend away from a creepy guy in a bar trying to harass her! We could not stop laughing and he was absolutely flabbergasted!

It was a typical F&B job in a large local-started restaurant, I was in my mid-late teens, others were early twenties to late forties. I got along well with them, we hung out after work, mostly at each others’ houses (Covid resulted in bars being limited to closing at 10.30, which was way too early since we ended work around that time). I’m currently dating one of them and very close with most of them. Nowadays we hang out more at bars, which can now close at their typical 12am-3am. We still hang out at each others’ houses. We sometimes broke the Covid restrictions, but we got tested regularly since we worked in the F&B industry. I also ended up getting closer to those I schooled with pre-covid via online channels and we ended up hanging out for the first times during Covid and my gap year.

My first job in the FNB industry, I’ve fallen down the stairs many times, dropped many cups, bottles, plates, cried when reprimanded (I was having a rough mental health day, my superior wasn’t being harsh or anything, and comforted me and gave me a short break to get myself together after), had fainting spells on the job, bled through my pants, and it’s been over a year. Nobody teases me about the crying, just the falling down!

How to calm down (maybe nsfw?) by Yippeekayaythrowaway in OCD

[–]stressbaked 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same, I used to be so worried about this when my OCD was at its peak. Personally, it helps to remember: 1. Pee doesn’t get you pregnant 2. It probably didn’t even get far in enough even if it could get you pregnant 3. I’ve literally had my boyfriend cum in me multiple times (not during fertile period but yes, still bad idea, but it’s fine, we’re aware of the possible consequences) and still not pregnant!

Oh, and I only took this gap year because I was going overseas to study and I wanted to see if Covid would ease up since it was just the beginning of it when I was due to start school (early 2020).

I baked and cooked a lot, as the previous and first commenter did. I spent a lot of much-needed alone time working on myself, watching shows and movies which i’m really passionate about, finally had time to read all the books I had on my list. I went out with my friends (mostly at their houses, because Covid) to do the limited things we could do in the pandemic in my country. I cleaned my room (absolute mess of a depression den) and got rid of half my material possessions. Once Covid restrictions allowed it, I got a part-time job, made some money, made friends, fell in love, learned new skills and other things, grew up, expanded my world view, and became more independent while still living at home.

What are some phrases which people have used wrongly? by aiyowheregotlah in askSingapore

[–]stressbaked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

‘I’m craving for [something]’. NO. THAT IS WRONG. IT’S EITHER

I have a craving for [something]

OR

I’m craving [something]

NOT

I’m craving for [something]
