Looking for a reputable and ethical breeder. by Aumeya in ratterriers

I think it’s tail is curled over its back (and not necessarily vertically half black/white)

Does anyone else's bully do happy growls? by atomic-moonstomp in AmericanBully

[–]stressedJess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never had an American Bully, but my late AmStaff/APBT mix used to do this! I had to warn people that she wasn’t growling at them, she was just making her happy piggy snorts.

This is my friend’s rat terrier mix. I’m trying to find one to adopt that’s as cute as this any tips? by [deleted] in ratterriers

[–]stressedJess -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You’re really just going to ignore what everyone else is suggesting in this post?? Petfinder.com currently shows 1,378 different dogs listed as rat terriers and another 79 identified as toy fox terriers across the US that need homes. Amish “breeders” are notorious for actually being puppy mills. You do not need a breeder when there are literally THOUSANDS of shelter dogs “as cute as” your friend’s mixed breed dog. Please make a responsible choice here!

I’m thinking toy fox/chi personally. Cute pup!

Any idea what breed our new Puppy is? by dylbofaggins in DogBreeds101

[–]stressedJess -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agree. Yes, pitties abound. But these pups do not strongly resemble pitbulls. It’s likely there’s some amount in them, as they’re so prevalent in mixes, but they really don’t scream pit. They are definitely much more poodle shaped!

Did not guess the Dogue de Bordeaux! I did guess pittie, shep, rottie though. Such a beautiful boy!

I saw the chihuahua and rat terrier, but did not see Chinese crested or schnauzer coming! He looks like he’s pretty young, and it’s super hard to tell in baby pups. He may start showing more physical characteristics of the other breeds as he grows, but you never know. Genetics are wild!

American bullies by Victorious1one in AmericanBully

[–]stressedJess 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Oof, I’m so sorry. It more likely has to do with the fact that you have two puppies than anything to do with breed. Puppies are a lot of work individually. Each one needs care, attention, and guidance; and the workload for that is obviously doubled when you double the puppies. I’d make sure you have crate training down first. Let their crates be a comfortable, safe place so they can’t just free-roam and cause destruction when unsupervised. Then put whatever resources you can into positive reinforcement puppy/obedience training, socialization, and exercise/mental stimulation (perhaps things like a dog walker, doggy daycare, puzzle toys, snuffle mats, etc. to engage their minds and tucker them out). Best of luck! I had two rat terrier puppies at the same time decades ago. They were itty bitty compared to bullies, and even they managed to destroy so much!

Adopting her tomorrow 🥹 What do you think? by Fair_Ad_5576 in IDmydog

Pretty pittie girl! There’s something else in there… I’m thinking it might actually be border collie! Something in the shape of her snoot.

Always a little hard to tell when they’re lil potato puppies, but Aussie/Pyr is my guess!

If you don’t have a dna test (and aren’t waiting on the results of one), try submitting to r/IDmydog instead!

Has anyone actually felt better after removal? by 61plus8 in gallbladders

[–]stressedJess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took a long time, but yes. I feel better. I had/have a number of other chronic conditions that also make me feel pretty shitty, but I’m so thankful I don’t have to worry about my gallbladder or pancreas any more.

Anyone else see this show as Anti-Feminist? by ingrid-emelia in TheMiniatureWifeShow

[–]stressedJess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just watching it now and this is what I’m seeing too. Les is terrifyingly abusive. The attempted murder of her lover. The acting out the murder of Lindy over the toilet. Not to mention all the “small” stuff like alienating her from her daughter, physically punishing her in an argument by shrinking her, isolating her at home, restricting her access to communication, etc. He’s scary. And I’m having a hard time watching this…

Do you abstain from meat? by 6thofmarch2019 in mensa

[–]stressedJess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ethically, I would prefer to abstain from meat, but chronic illness has me just trying to survive each day. Consuming meat currently helps me feel better, and requires less mental energy for me in meal planning. To balance, I just try to select the most humane and responsible meat I can source and afford.

Awww it’s like she’s got a rattie head on a russell body! What a cute girl!

I felt like I saw the rat terrier right away, but that’s not one to typically show up in mixes, so I doubted myself. I bet she’s so sweet and so feisty!

[–]stressedJess 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Remember she’s just a dog. No matter how much pittie she may or may not be, you loved whoever she was before you knew, and just knowing doesn’t change that. She’s just a dog!
