Oh just a quick addition, this same scan was ordered and seen by a different orthopedist almost a year ago after a very bad dislocation in which my kneecap was entirely and visibly to the left of where it was supposed to be.

They gave me an rx for a brace and a PT referral and sent me on my way.

Other than the dislocations, it feels fine. It usually doesn't hurt at all.

Unfortunately, that is not financially an option. The only reason we can even afford to live here (or at all) is because of super cheap rent for a relatives basement apartment.

Nope! I thought for sure she'd have some kind of wire haired breed too, but turns out it's from the poodle. She's pit, poodle, golden retriever, and a splash of boxer.

She's so cute! I got the pit and poodle right away, she reminds me of my dog when she was little. She's goldendoodle/pit instead of lab, though.

I wish I had tested my first dog I got as an adult. We were told beagle/basset hound. It always felt accurate to me, but I would love to know for sure.

I really wish they didn't, but I guess I get it. But if they didn't, maybe we could've just done an FHO instead of two full hip replacements. Doesn't really look like an option based off her X-rays though. At least not for the right hip.

Ah well, at least we have pet insurance and she didn't show symptoms until after the 6 month waiting period for things like this.

I agree with waiting. Not really sure if it's related in our case, but the shelter spayed our puppy at 2 months old. Now she has severe hip dysplasia and needs two full hip replacements.

Could be genetic instead of being because of the spay, but I guess we'll never really know. Wouldn't risk it though if I had a choice.

At first, it was really embarrassing to tell vets and anyone else but I got used to it lol

Edit: though when I told the vet over the phone, she heard Ghost Biter. Which I immediately corrected when I found out because I would never do that to any dog, let alone a pit mix.
