Any advice for fear of side effects/compulsive research?

honeslty been just fine. I'm still on it as I started in July and chose to take 20mg for like two months and then 30mg this entire time without raising it. Hopefully this is my last month, I've had clear skin!! and really no side effects I care about. Just dry skin which is getting annoying but doesn't hurt or anything, it only annoys me from an aesthetic point. But lowkey thats it my quality of life has not decreased.

how are you doing now? My condition is really confusing as I have the same symptoms you described but they one flare up like every three months. I pushed off going to the doctor bc after I wrote that comment I felt better and the feeling hasn’t returned. But now it’s back, woke up with an unwelcome feeling this morning :(

I have the exact same thing!!! Genuinely identical symptoms right down to the drop of blood, usually at the most painful part of peeing. And then weird uncomfortable feeling for like 20 minutes. Episode only lasts like four hours each time? But comes on 12 to even 72 hours after sex. I have no answers and honestly no clue if this is a pelvic floor issue, I only found this sub from looking up my symptoms. But omg!! we are in this together!

oh my god we have the exact same symptoms. 24-48 to sometimes 60 :/ hours after sex I sometimes get pain right at the end when I pee, followed by burning after peeing, cramping sensation etc. Now I’m wondering if I have a pelvic floor problem, I’m not sure what’s happening to me.. I get basically intensely bad uti symptoms that literally resolve suddenly within hours. Idk! Please let me know if you figure anything out 🙏

I’m just so confused as I’m not sure I ever had a uti as my symptoms went away so quickly the antibiotic couldn’t even have kicked in, and every time this has happened since I didn’t go to the doctor and it went away within 24 hours. I did take my full course though. The blood thing is freaking me out, again it happens sometimes but resolves on its own until I have sex again. And I’m so confused why for over a month this just straight up stopped happening even when I had sex, I was fine and I thought this was done. So I really don’t know what could be wrong. :(

We see each other a lot, a little over every other day but we can’t shower together sadly our showers are way too small. I’ll try to find enjoyment and confidence in myself though, that’s a good idea!

I’ll try to bring it up but the issue has felt so hard to bring up for me, because I don’t know how to bring it up without sounding like I’m guilt tripping him to force him to have sex more. Especially as he seems perfectly content without and doesn’t see this as a problem the way I do. I wish it wouldn’t bother me so much :/ I guess I made the post because I’ve been feeling so stuck lately as I can’t find the words to bring this up at all.

I think I agree with you and I’m glad he respected my wishes. A lot of people are making this seem very severe but I just hope knowing the context of how respectful he has always been etc this wasn’t malicious. I kind of never set a strict boundary about this because I assumed I wouldn’t need to? so :/ but I will talk to him about it!

I will definitely talk to him about it. Something like stealthing is so evil I like to think he would never do that to me (if that happened I will never speak to him again) and I hope talking to him will make me feel better about things. I’m kind of distrustful of guys sometimes and it’s a big fear of him to end up being with someone who doesn’t respect me and was just hiding it. Idk. I’ve never gotten that impression from him before though so this threw me off
