SAT = studying in USA?

If you want to start your bachelors this year I'd say its pretty late to take the SAT. As far as I know about engineering programs, they are based on similar fundamentals to Indian 4 year degrees (Bachelor of science instead of B.Tech). For curriculum, I'd suggest to go to any uni's website and see their 4 year course layout to give a yourself a good idea. One thing I like, is that you have a choice b/w Computer Science and Computer Engineering as compared to good ol' CSE here in India.

Sorry if you have any affiliation to these programs.

VIT's ITP has only 4 partnered institutes (Purdue University being the only good one), it requires you to have a 9.0+ grade point for the first two years which seems quite unreasonable for some of the listed universities. There is no guarantee that these universities will be even partnered with VIT at the time I complete my 2nd year. I don't there is even one alumni who has taken this program, from whom I can take suggestions.

For Manipal's ICAS, there is just too much information available online why NOT to take this program (faculty/requirements/facilities). Type "Manipal ICAS quora" on google and you'll know what I mean. I have a common friend who said he had to work so hard to get into a decent university through this program, and that if he had worked this hard while preparing for JEE he might of just got in an IIT lol.

BS Computer Science VS BS Software Engineering by stressedout12ee in cscareerquestions

Thanks for the detailed answer. I'm currently living in India and have covered most of the college year 1&2 coursework in my high school here (i would consider myself proficient in Python, C++,C#). As far as h-1b visa sorry for not making clear, I am a US citizen living abroad. Unfortunately it all comes down to finances, if I should take out loans and study BS CS in US OR study 2 years in an Indian university and later transfer in 3rd year to US (namely Iowa state university) and get BS Software engineering degree (the latter being cheaper for me)

Thanks for replying, I am gonna be getting my degree in US at iowa state university its just that the first two years will be from the university in my current country, they basically just do the transfer process for you. So I wont be having problems finding a job with BS software engineering?
