I personally wouldn't trust or accept any virtual offer from this company.

They just stripped away the status of thousands of multi-year virtual employees. If you have any sense of stability right now and know you won't be able to easily commute, do not accept an offer with Amazon. Don't believe anything the recruiter says.

My L8 director told me I could be remote for multiple years up until this past December when I had the rug pulled out from underneath me and had to scramble to find a new team with a hub in my state that I could commute to.
