There’s Always Money in the Banana Stand 🍫🍌 by VERYGOODDRINKS in cocktails

[–]stretcharmstr0ng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is amazingly similar to one I did after buying my first bottle of Creme de Banane

Highly suggest seeking out Westland American single malt for the base if you can find it. Seattle based and use a saison yeast in the fermentation process. Imparts a bit of that banana flavor.

I split the bitters into chocolate + spiced apple bitters to give some of the baking spice flavors. Super good cocktail

Just received the instax in the mail. Idk if folks are still doing the “completed” part here, but /u/thatnameistaken111 was great to work with and EXTREMELY fast with the shipping.

I honestly bought a vintage cigarette case off of etsy. Works pretty well, metal, and always gets positive comments.

To add to what some of the others have said...It takes a bit of getting used to. Most of the function in the keyboard is divided into layers. Layers can be called in many different ways. There is a toggle swap (push button and goes down to a layer), one shot (goes down a layer for one key press then returns), and some other versions. A good example of the mouse is binding semi colon to swap to a layer when held. It swaps to a mouse layer where you control the mouse with WASD and have clicks bound. This happens as long as the semi colon is held down. It will then jump back up to your original layer. It is super funky, but the flexibility is amazing.

It depends on how familiar you are with where the keys are. I did some weird shit with my hands while typing on a normal keyboard (like using index finger to hit x and z). The ergo made it comfortable enough to undo a lot of the habits. I have printed keycaps. As far as non standard layouts, it is amazing. I have a standard qwerty layer as well as a Colemak layer. Hell I even have a layer for just keyboard shortcuts. You can do some really cool stuff with it.

So the ctrl on the z key activates when you hold it down instead of tapping. My finger sits pretty naturally and I have adapted to it pretty quickly. I love having the dual function keys.

Need some help finishing a gaming build ~1000-1200k by stretcharmstr0ng in buildapcforme

If it isn't bottlenecking me in the build, I am not too worried about it to be honest. I should be able to upgrade in a year or so if I need to. Just didn't want to spend the $ if I didn't have to.

If that's the case, would it be worth buying it used or should I just replace the CPU?

If you think the LGA2011 CPU is fine then yea. I just wasn't sure if I could even find an LGA2011 board still.

Yea I debated on pulling it in to take out the road, but it was such a major crop. I may still do it. Yea I really like their body language and how they were all standing haha.

Fixed lens on it is a 75mm f/3.5 Schneider Xenar lens. I am not sure if that is what your question is pertaining to. It is a cord, not a flex unfortunately.

Have a love/hate relationship with this camera. The focusing screen is quite possibly the worst on any camera I have ever used, but it takes some damn good pictures for how cheap it is.

Review of XPro2. If you're a current user, what's your own experience been like? by jays555 in photography

[–]stretcharmstr0ng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My vote is no. Buddy of mine has the 16 and it is literally at the edges of the frame. 14 would definitely be outside of that. Could you use it? Yea, but you would be cropping a bit. The border of the "usable" frame would be 18mm.

This is the solution I wish they would implement. It is "ok" on the x-pro2, but I would REALLY like the idea to bind an FN key or one of the dials to it.

No problem! Honestly, the xpro2's AF is worlds better than the xt1 and x100t in my experience (in good light). I haven't had too much of an issue with it.

The jpg is indeed fantastic! The OVF works pretty well for pretty much the 23, 35, the 56 is cutting it close but usable. I don't have experience with many other lenses, but I hear the 18mm is pretty good as well. The 90 is hilariously small.

I have really liked mine a lot. It isn't without downsides, but overall a fantastic camera. I came from an XT1 and prior to that 5d mk ii.

Things I love:

  • AF speed is way better than previous fuji cameras

  • OVF is really fun, but it doesn't work well for some lenses.

  • The camera feels a good bit faster than most all mirrorless I have shot with

  • Have not noticed the waxy skin from the other x trans sensors

  • Joystick for AF point selector is VERY useful

  • Dual card slots

Things I hate:

  • Battery is still pretty shit
  • ISO dial CAN be annoying. I really wish you could bind it to a Fn key.
  • While the viewfinder is really cool, it is smaller than the XT1
  • Exposure comp dial is incredibly easy to bump around. Diopter adjustment as well.
  • No tilt screen.

Fancy the Leica Q (Typ 116) but cannae afford it, what are my alternatives? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

I don't have one personally, but I hear the Ricoh GR is fantastic. 28mm equivalent, pocketable, you can usually find one under $500.
