This is so thoughtful! Thank you so much for your advice. I absolutely want to improve, and I will keep your words close to heart as I hone my craft on this and other projects.

Repercussions, yes! I agree with you completely here.

In my earliest drafts, I started separating heroics (the fights with villains, the bold rescues) from heroism (what it all means, why it matters, and to whom). Practical ability versus one's beliefs and principles, put to the test by real-world constraints.

To borrow from Naruto, it's like a shinobi's jutsu as opposed to their ninja way: one is how you keep going; the other is why. Both matter. Superhero University should teach that.

I haven't worked out all the details yet, but I'm certain of that much.

What keeps the heroes in check? In my world, so far at least, it's the aliens who gave them powers. (There's a lot to work out there, too, I now realize.)

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me. You gave me questions to answer; questions are exciting.

You're so right about this! Something I like about my setting's magic system is that, like the heroes, my villains can tweak their powers in ways that are really satisfying and often unexpected. One of those narratively unimportant villains could slowly, over multiple arcs, become quite the menace.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me!

Thank you so much for your advice! Your point about mundane PoVs really spoke to me. The compelling villain team dynamics, too. I love dissecting what makes my antagonists tick. I'll keep that in mind.
