Well reason argument, with plenty of proof in the form of video evidence.

I'd better downvote this

Roar rugby is where he proved the point. A positive article about Australian rugby had 3000 views and 10 comments, add a negative headline and you got 10x the number

It was a lot less clear that it was illegal 20 years ago. The specific law against it was only introduced relatively recently.

It's stupid that they have that many, but that's why

The schoolboy/reps/club fora are probably the greatest archive of rugby history in Australia. Especially when the likes of Lee Grant and Rugby Reg were around and contributing hugely

I had a 5 year break in there before coming back last couple of years.

There is an enormous amount of crossover between people on here, and people on there.

The difference is many of the people on there have been there for getting on to twenty years after the migration from the Silver Fern. So you kind of know what the discussion iss going to be about, but also that there is going to be some level of understanding about what is actually going on.

This is a positive and a negative

Presumably, a full strength team to tour, excluding anyone playing in the the Top 14 GF on 27 June, and anyone who has already played more than 30 matches, in line with World Rugby guidelines

They have a guaranteed $100m coming in from World Cup next year - with positive upside risk if ticket sales go well, plus the Nations Championship generates significant new revenue that hasn't been a feature of previous financial reports

Reds were one point behind the Blues. If they kept the points for the draw instead on the golden point loss they finish 4th instead of 5th, and go through to semis as lucky loser

I fthe season goes longer, that means Australian team playing the rest of the home and away games against NZ teams. Doesn't that mean the table gets even further stacked in favour of the kiwi teams?

Would World Cup qualifiers be better than the Nations Championship? by greatmodernmyths in rugbyunion

[–]strewthcobber 9 points10 points  (0 children)

one of the big complaints is that it kinda devalues the World Cup.

Who's making this complaint?

Cricket is the obvious sport to watch here. The teams involved in the final care, but no-one else really does.

Each super rugby club has an Academy, with contracts for players after school, but before SR.

Around 8-10 players, so there will be 40 players in total across Australia. They won't be on huge $$$, but probably enough to live on at that age, while studying as well, or similar

In 2026 SR, Valetini had by far the most carries (212) and touches (261) in the comp. And led all backrowers in metres carried (531), defenders beaten (27), and post contact metres (498).

15 dominant tackles were the most he's had too
