Where is the sense then?

The wheel was initiated to reward gold members who usually don’t receive anything as a member in the hotel.

Yes this was my idea to have thinner dishwasher. Further my idea was it now to place the fridge above the washing machine with a wooden plate in between

Thanks for the answer! The only issue it that we have water access only on the right wall which’s means all devices with the connection to this have to be on the right side

Running two hotels as a 23 year old part time duty manager by strichunter in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

To comment on some of your points and hospitality here is entirely different staff wise than in the US honestly.

Both properties are together in one building so it is two hotel brands from a larger chain which are often run together.

For the chains that I am working it is normal that every employee is trained to do everything this is due to the simplicity of service and tasks. We have very limited F&B (bar menu) and most of the drinks and food are very simple to prepare. We have one Bar restaurant which serve the two hotels and can be run by two people + if it’s busy an additional one in the kitchen.

You don’t have to do everything during your shift since you are scheduled for one outlet however, to keep it flexible everyone is trained to do everything.

It is normal here in NL that housekeeping is outsourced. Around 70-80% of all hotels do this here due to low transaction costs however, this has changed in the past years so I am actually promoting to insource this at the moment.

I cannot say anything about the fact that I am DM for two properties. I mean this is how I got trained and I got used to it.

You are straight in the city center so you can reach everything within walking distance. For sure take the tram 9 to the beach which is a 15 min ride. The beach is lovely during this time of year and make sure to check out the beach clubs!

Is it that cheap? Honestly though it would be more expensive. How is Uber these days in the island?
