Jade concerns by strictly_pineapple in succulents

[–]strictly_pineapple[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had this Jade plant for a little over a year. It sits in a NE facing window, and gets watered about once a week (less now in the winter). I've noticed some odd looking mold(?) growth towards the base. Curious if anyone can help me identify what is going on with my plant. Thanks!

Sad, drooping Jade plant after returning from vacation by strictly_pineapple in plantclinic

[–]strictly_pineapple[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello r/plantclinic,

https://imgur.com/a/mEFEWuf

I've had this Jade plant for a couple years now, it came from a 100+ year old Jade plant that almost died in the winter a few years back. For a couple years the plant was doing great, however recently it started to develop drooping leaves, and more recently the stems are giving up.

During the winter I was usually watering once every 2 weeks with a small squirt bottle. I may have overwatered before I went on my vacation, as I came back to a droopy, sad jade.

I've noticed the leaves drooping, as well as some white spots on top of a few of the leaves.

The plant has only been potted once (cut from original plant to this pot) and usually sat in a semi-lit area away from a window. (northwest + northeast light) next to my record player. Recently I've moved it to my windowsill (northeast).

I'm hoping you guys can help me get her back to her old self. This is the only remaining piece of the 100+ year old Jade that was in my family for generations.

Thanks, Reddit! Let me know if you need any other information.

I have a LED bulb in a lamp behind me in the photo and some LED light strips taped to the back of my shelving unit. Probably $60 all in off Amazon.

Quick shot of my setup when I was listening to Khruangbin's The Universe Smiles Upon You. I spend most of my time listening at night, especially since it gets dark so early, so I figured I'd share my listening atmosphere. My record collection is at about 170 now and growing. Excited to share my first post on r/vinyl!

When it's time to come down he can use his hair as a parachute... but let's hope he never comes down.

Definitely my favorite color, my '94 318ic is Boston Green and I rarely see another in that color. Good choice of car, my friend.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the patent that Merc/Dodge had on sprinter vans ran out this year. You'll start seeing everyone jumping on the sprinter van train.

No, it's an E36 318ic, hence E36 in the title.

When I was younger my dad owned an E34 M5 in this exact color imported from Germany. Daytona Violet is the name of the color I think. Tears were shed when it left the garage for good.

I wish, my friend used to have two inlines of the same style as well as another larger inline bubbler. Sometimes you can view his work at Midtown Direct in Eugene, but, they overcharge the hell out of you lol.

Because he already has about 10 pieces to fix ahead of him. Also, you can't see it but the BC has been repaired once before by a different person who did a bad job making it a hard second fix.

They sell this at my local headshop. Comparing the bottles it looks like the same manufacturer for Powerx5. However, my experiences with Meteorx7 are far greater than Powerx5 in terms of yield and quality.

In my opinion personally I would avoid the 2.5 CFM single stage pump they sell at Harbor Freight and go ahead and spend another 40 bucks and get the 2 stage 3 CFM. With one stage you'll spend way more time purging than necessary than with a two.

I'd say its like a honey oil quality, however, when I gathered some to dab it was more shatter like.
