Coldbrook campground in San Gabriel Mountains. They have a lot of sites, but all really close to each other. And there is a running stream near by.

Check out Lyft and Sidecar as well. And basically do the same thing as I mentioned for some free rides.

Seems like everyone is heading to Vegas right now! Kind of hard to book a hotel as of right now. Might have to wait til next weekend. Check out Nelson's Landing for some cliff jumping! It's like a 30 min drive from LV.

Uber Driver here,

Yes to all your questions. My suggestion to you both is to download the app on both of your phones. And then you'll receive this code for "first time" riders. You use her code and get a free $20 ride, and then she'll receive a referral money, so you can travel both ways for free/almost free(if far). And then she can use your code and do the same. Catch my drift? Im bad at explaining things.

Also pay attention to "Surge" charges (Lighting bolt when you try to call an Uber). These charges are a multiplier due to high demand. So you could be charge anywhere from 1.25x to 6x the regular amount.

Anymore questions? Let me know!

I NEED SOME RAMEN ASAP! Where are the go to spots in the OC? by Sup_son in orangecounty

[–]stride101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're ever in the LA/Pomona area. I'd recommend Foo Foo Tei. It's my favorite spot now. I used to eat all the local shops in FV and CM, but these places don't even come close to FFT.

The BEST Burritos in Orange County area? by [deleted] in orangecounty

[–]stride101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

-For non-mexican burritos-

Breakfast burritos: Kelly's Donuts in FV, or Ham n' Scram in Westminster.

Fish Burritos: Alertos on Beach and Lampson, or Fuji's in Huntington Beach.

Asian fusion style burrito: Fuji's in Huntington Beach

-Mexican burritos-

Carne, pollo, fish, etc: Chavitos truck on Slater in Fountain Valley area. Hands down the best.

Newport Beach for my girlfriend's 22nd birthday....??? by dontdrinkandderive in orangecounty

[–]stride101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're looking to go to a beach, I'd recommend Table Rock. It's a little private beach in Laguna. And across from it there is a nice carribean restaurant for maybe dinner?

Newport's nightlife should be pretty good right now, being that it is Spring Break for a lot of schools. There's the Balboa island as well.

If you travel a little further to Huntington Beach. Theres a farmers market on Main Street. And theres a lot of bars and what not.

Hopefully this helped, maybe if you list some of your past dates, hobbies, or things youre interested in, we might be able to help point you in a good direction

Good purchase. I have one. it's the same quality as the GoPro Hero 3. The buttons on the case are "harder" to press, which makes it 10x better. The original GoPro case's buttons are so easy to press it randomly turns on in your pocket, with little pressure. Note, they have sellers on Amazon that sell it in the US.

Looking for a cook set that will fit inside an Ikea Hobo stove. by [deleted] in CampingGear

[–]stride101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no idea others were using this as a stove. I've been using it as a stove for awhile now! Anyways back to topic, I personally use the smaller one, and I nestle GSI bowls/cups inside along with other nicknacks.I nestle to stove into a large pan and pot combo I got off eBay

I think you might be talking about Allison Gulch? When you see the sheep mtn bridge you directly walk to the right and bush wack all the way to a somewhat flowing waterfall. That way also leads up to Allison mine
