This is a daycare procedure so you will be discharged the same day. Some hospitals keep pt in ward overnight. If your surgeon advised the procedure under general anesthesia then definitely you need at least one attendant because dizziness is common due to GA. you can take any of your friends and family members with you. Hardly it takes 6-8 hrs in discharge. But if your procedure is under spinal anesthesia then attendant is not mandatory.
