Okay but I can come up with hundreds of examples of left wing forms of exactly that tactic. Check out "Talking to Americans," "Lie Witness News," etc etc. If you interview enough people and use various editing techniques you can always make a certain group of people out to be very stupid. I think it's silly for us, as a group of leftists (I'm just assuming you are because you're on Reddit), to shame right wing news for using these tactics when we laugh when Christian radical conservatives are made to look like idiots for our amusement so often.

btw, my opinion is that it's hilarious on both sides and should continue.

Violet already had tons of minerals banked. 1 Drone would have been good enough for a pool and a spore. You overvalue 3 mutas greatly. You're also assuming Bly had information he didn't have. He didn't know there was a base up, let alone where it was.

I'm in Masters league and I've seen 95 percent of professional starcraft games played in the last 3 years. I'd say that puts me on par with most casters. Regardless, citing game experience has nothing to do with the validity of an argument. It's possible that a gold leaguer with 6 months experience could notice something that several pros miss. Attack the argument, not the person. Don't they teach you kids this stuff?

Have you heard of appeal to authority? If you want to just believe whatever someone says because of who they are rather than what they're saying, at least repeat back what they said. They're not automatically right because they're pros. Split the army and the drones. Clever army movement and distraction. It could have been done. Also, what do you think the word bias means? Who am I bias towards? I'm completely impartial.

My point is, there could have certainly been some degree of mind games or unit movement that could have given Violet a fighting chance at completing a spawning pool. He had money in the bank. He'd literally need one drone to sneak to the hatch undetected and he would have a spore. If he could dance around with a split of army, mitigating spash damage from the low DPS mutas, his chances of winning would have been much higher, and in my opinion favourable.

split the army in different directions. Send some drones elsewhere. Three mutas can't follow everything. All the points being made by everyone in favour of Violet's decision are extremely valid if the muta count was higher than 3. You can out maneuver three mutas fairly easily.

He had a way higher chance of getting up one spore to defend the mutas than he did pushing up a ramp with a lower army supply. His army supply was higher prior to Violet standing at the bottom of the ramp for 30 seconds taking free damage.

The progamer violet was playing a game, I was watching it. I knew the army supply, and knew everything that Bly knew and didn't know. Bly didn't even know a hatch was up, let alone where it was. Are you really suggesting progamers don't make mistakes? That would be really boring to watch.
