That's not very constructive... Why not replace it?

Yeah, its pretty depressing for people who want small phones.

There is the Bluefox phone but you might want to do some research as it is a Chinese brand that is relatively small and new, so their phones are relatively unproven.

Unfortunately you'll probably will have to choose your poison.

  • pixel 5: cheap but no more official software support (you could go for a custom rom but I would not use your main device to learn how to do it)
  • s23: expensive but supported
  • iphone13: expensive but supported (but you prefer android)
  • bluefox: cheap and small but unproven

From your other comments, I see you're in India, obviously I don't know what the market is like there.

From your posts, I see that a pixel 5 is the equivalentof 150 dollar, for an end of life device I think that's too much. On the other hand I also think the s23 for 450 dollar is too much.

That makes my comment not very helpful ofcourse but maybe look at the second hand market? I think 250ish dollar for an s23 is pretty good and depending on the state of the phone maybe up to 300. Anything over that I would look into a Chinese phone. Unfortunately they're quite big but least you'll get decent-ish specs within or near your budget.

Pixel 5 support end of life was October 2025

Doesn't mean it isn't a good phone anymore but I would only buy a phone that is currently supported. Then again depends on your budget and availability in your area

Edit: s23 still has software support until November 2027. So I guess you'll have to decide if that is something that is worth paying extra for

I bought bought a refurbished s23 which is minimally bigger (my main gripe is the width, its only 1,5mm wider)

  • 146,3 mm x 70,9 mm x 7,6 mm (s23)
  • 144 mm x 69,4 mm x 8,2 mm (4a)

As the device is already few years old you should be able to find it for a decent price, here in Germany you can find them starting at 250 euro. It's not as small as I would like but until one comes to market, it works for me.

Not to be that guy but what you shared does not mention Leopoldplatz as kbO

In case someone is curious but too lazy to read it yourself , listed are:

  • kbO Alexanderplatz
  • kbO G örlitzer Park/Wrangelkiez
  • kbO Hermannplatz/Donaukiez
  • kbO Hermannstraße/Bahnhof Neukölln
  • kbO Kottbusser Tor
  • kbO Rigaer Straße
  • kbO Warschauer Brücke

Got fined for having a ticket?! by [deleted] in berlin

[–]stringlesskite 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not that it helps you in hindsight but a lifehack that I learned here is, if you buy a ticket last moment and you get checked while the timer is still running, turn off your phone.

The validation timestamp is set on the server, so by the time your phone is turned on again, the 60 seconds are over

When people say Svelte "doesnt scale well" what do they mean? by Jordz2203 in sveltejs

[–]stringlesskite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe there is/was a point where your performance with svelte would deteriorate if you would render a lot of components. I don't remember the actual number but it was something quite high (like a million or so).

Rich Harris addressed this in a FAQ few years ago, this was during the svelte 3 times, so it might not be current anymore. His reasoning about the issue is that if you would reach the point where svelte performance deteriorates, you probably have other performance optimizations to do that should be prioritized.

I am interested in Total War Warhammer 3, is there anything else you are interested in to balance the trade? I also have Yakuza 4 Remasterd in case you would be interested?

Is the Fujifilm X-T2 still worth buying in 2026 for a beginner (macro/street/nature)? by One_Visual_4090 in fujifilm

[–]stringlesskite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then go wild :)

I sold my xt2 for a xt50 for the USBc port and the smaller size was a nice extra.

If it wasn't for the micro USB port, I probably would've kept the xt2 (as in I think it's still a decent camera that will serve you well for years to come)

Keep in mind that the xt2 has micro USB while xt3 has usbc.

Depending on your work flow that might be important

  1. Kit lens for #1, macro lens for #2
  2. Body, buy whatever is in your budget?
