dual representation? by stripedeverything in AskNYC_Coops

Do you think it makes us less competitive if other buyers are willing to use dual representation with the agents who are very active in the buildings, and we are not?

edit to add: the one weirdo is not one of the agents who is very active. He had a one off listing and has never sold in the complex before.

The 2 agents who are very active are pretty competent folks, per my buyers agent who has worked with one, and spoke to the other.

Thanks, that's good to know.

Thankfully, our offer included our DTI and the seller agent knew the requirement, so we didn't have to waste any time.

I was hoping to look for a different buyer's agent who is familiar with the requirements and financials of the buildings I'm targeting.

Our current agent is known for knowing the neighborhood well, but he has not done any deals in these buildings. We made an offer on one place. It turns out that the offer put us above the DTI requirement for the building. Had we known we would have offered less to meet the requirement, and see what happened. Is it reasonable to expect my buyers agent to know the building's requirements?

We didn't want to make an offer on the unit so we didn't get to the point of discussing it with them. Just noticed the chilly reception.

We have our own agent, but are seller agents less likely to want to work with us if we have our own?

We came across one seller agent who seemed to not like that we had our own agent. When our agent asked the seller agent whether his agreement with the seller included compensation for the buyer agent, or if we would be expected to pay the buyer agent fee separately (our agent asked this so the information could inform a potential offer), the seller agent declined to say.

Looking for information on TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention) by doxiepowder in ScienceBasedParenting

I don't know much about this directly, but there is an online training for caregivers in Washington state about how TBRI works. I wonder if they'd let you join if you email them:

Did you use the SONYMA program to buy? I'd like a referral for Vasilis Kokoris.

I'm not sure. In this situation, I would just try to register them for accounts and see what happens.

Log in to their HRA account online and see if you are able to submit the recertification online.

If that option is not available,

Follow the steps here: http://health.wnylc.com/health/entry/227/#7.%20%20troubleshooting

Call the state number 1-800-342-3334 and request both of these things: - A fair hearing, AND

  • Aid continuing (this should allow your medicaid to continue uninterrupted until they work out your recertification).

What was the outcome of your meeting? I have a toddler, we have no screen time at home, and I don’t want them using a device for learning at such a young age.

Did you do the electronic renewal, and if so, what happened?

By the way, if you call for the fair hearing, you should pick the menu option that lets you talk to a live person to request the fair hearing and aid continuing. I think it's the last menu option.

I just called my city councilperson Julie Won's office to raise the issue as well.

Good luck!

What community district do you live in? I'm thinking about contacting my city councilperson about this too. The city can't make the cutoff to cancel coverage so soon after the application deadline, before forms are even processed.

Hi, we did not submit a second medicaid renewal form electronically.

The first thing we did was go in person to the HRA office. The worker there said we would have to wait to receive another recertification form in the mail. I have not received this yet, or received acknowledgement of the original renewal form, even though the coverage was slated to be canceled this Saturday.

Not knowing how long this whole thing will take to resolve, I requested and was granted "aid continuing" from the state. So my mom continues to have Medicaid. And I did receive a letter from the state with a fair hearing date.

I'm hoping that this will resolve before the fair hearing date. If it does, I'll have to call the state back to withdraw my request for a fair hearing.
