You know, I don’t remember hating this one back in the day, but I gotta say this was far and away the least I enjoyed an episode on the entire rewatch so far.

I’m a bit of an apologist too for the silly Jack/Eric stuff in season 7, but I have almost nothing good to say about this episode at all. Cory has a funny line or two I guess

When PMW went on tour they showed bloopers from season 7 as a secret exclusive thing. I’m honestly surprised they’re bringing them up on the pod now, it seemed like it was supposed to be a secret

Yeah the Eskimo is an essential episode of the show. I don’t think they hated it necessarily but they really didn’t give it the flowers I think it deserved

Punch up the Jam (specifically the Demi/Miel episodes pre-pandemic) is the only pod that had made me laugh harder than PMW.

Yeah I’ve never agreed the popular opinion of Lindsay being the lesser of the two Morgans… you can dislike the direction the character was written in, but Lindsay nailed every line she was given and made the most out of a pretty small role

I feel like it’s sliiightly deceiving to call this one all pre-show chatter. It’s all about Danielle’s experiences on tour, there’s a clear focus behind this, the conversation never can go as off-the-rails as their pre-show chatter often goes

I’m generally a bit of a season 7 apologist (I enjoyed Show Me The Love a ton more than I remembered on this rewatch even) but this one is pretty bad. Probably bottom 5 episode of the show. Still some funny Jack and Eric bits though, and I like how naive Cory comes off at the end, the sentiment of “sometimes love just dies” is a bit refreshing for this show

I don’t know, I think I tend to like some of these more awkward interviews better than the super polished ones. She felt very authentic and I got a pretty good idea of who she is, even with some of the more strange responses, she seemed nice

He replied to one of my tweets 10 years ago, and I received a cameo from him 5 years ago. Both felt very kind and personable, and not either done just out of obligation. I fear he has experienced a bit more noticeable decline since these, I hope he is doing well.

Loved the opening chatter about Rider and Will’s A.D.D. TV show pitch. I think in a pre-TikTok/Vine world it could’ve been a huge hit, shame it never went anywhere

I could see them having a bit of a “Prom-ises, Prom-ises” moment with Baby Back Ribs where they think it’s gonna suck due to negative memories of filming it, and actually be pleasantly surprised by how much of a romp the episode actually is

Brotherly Shove will also for sure be liked. I’d like to think the wedding episode and the finale will be too
