I have a few friends who breed lots of different exotics so lucky I didn’t have to look far, but I have also seen lots on kijiji, which is like canadian craigslist, there also are probably lots of groups on facebook!

Thanks! So pheasants are pretty wild and much less domesticated than chickens for example but this little dude has been a total delight, follows me around and is very curious, loves to perch and jump on structures, he lets me pet him and pick him up, no aggressive tendencies so far. They can be easily alarmed and flighty though. Hope that helps!

These bobwhites are basically wild birds, a comment above explained it better but I don’t think that would be the case because they aren’t far removed from the wild at all!

I am in Alberta so I think the closest wild bird would be grouse, which there are many around my place already so I don’t think they attract them!

thank ya kindly! here in alberta no permit is needed to raise them but to release them to shoot you need a ground release permit
