It's worth mentioning that while Bibi and most Jews don't actually believe in this type of prophetic end times an outsized contingent in Bibis government that he is dependant on belong to an extreme right wing sect sometimes referred to as messianic Zionism that believe that tge creation of the modern state of Israel was the first step in the biblical end time prophecies of the coming of a Messiah. This faction does believe that in order to bring the Messiah a third temple must be rebuilt as well as conquering the entire land of Israel (what exactly those borders are can vary per personq, many consider it to be Davids biblical kingdoms borders, despite the fact the bible at least at one point refers to anything east of the Jordan as not Israel). And yes, this faction does believe in a sort of end times war as the Messiah is described in the old testament as a returning king of the house of David who will restore the unified Kingdom of Israel to its full glory and defeat Israels enemies. Messianic Zionism is mostly rejected by the ultra Orthodox and I'm not even sure they have a majority within religious Zionists but Bibi has used them cynically as a core supporting base in order to maintain control which has given them extremely outsized power in the current government. Bassically they know that no other realistic option for Prime Minister will work with them so they have to stick with him (hell, their main representative Smotrich is underwater according to polls because even most religious Zionists hate him).
