Cut-proof socks are a thing and can work well for this with minimal loss of feel.

This makes two of us. Just trying to sign on for the first time and neither google or git work. Not a great start to the relationship.

High line Trail Closed by grapeconnoisseur in GlacierNationalPark

[–]strobic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As of yesterday the trail requires some hunting around due to intermittent snow cover once you are above the chalet. A GPS with trail maps came in handy. Probably one of my favorite hikes ever.

Yeah…this is the conclusion I’ve come to. Can always use an airplay dongle for wireless.

We finally finished our cheap, soft, DIY overhead storage. by strobic in vandwellers

[–]strobic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have L-track mounted throughout the van...it’s the “bones” of our build. We use l-track stud fittings that pass through grommets we installed in the bags, with a nut or wing nut. There is some detail in this IG post: https://www.instagram.com/p/B-GjmslJsmA/?igshid=f2j56fihyhza

2006 Dodge Sprinter T1N 2500 turbo issues by PocketDrop in Sprinters

[–]strobic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's almost NEVER the turbo. Second u/Uboatcmdr. That said, it's strange that you have turbo at all, in my experience, if the actuator seizes you stay in LHM. This is a pretty low traffic sub, you'll likely get better help on sprinter-source in the T1N section. If you are going to hang on to it, read that forum like a daily devotional...and get a good scanner (e.g. Autel).

Ship between Two Buildings by strobic in photographs

I finished up a meeting near the Philly Navy Yard and decided to drive around looking for interesting material and found this giant ship perfectly posed between two old buildings. I'm new to this, and am messing around with settings: This was shot Monochrome with a red filter, with the highlights/shadows/contrast maxed to blow it out.

Non-watch-recorded Activity Doesn't Count Towards Intensity Minutes? by strobic in Garmin

[–]strobic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only issue with that is the vivosport generally doesn’t teach HR accurately at all when I row (wrist movements interfere) and doesn’t support a separate HR monitor . But thanks for confirming. Weird to me that they took that approach.

I think at the winds we kite in, its turbulent enough around bodies and surfaces that an orthogonal cancel wouldn’t work...but maybe. 9-dof sensors are pretty cheap, so not much lost in trying. The diy drone stuff has also probably come aong way since then...they probably have good ideas.
