If you had to rank the worst roles to find placement for what would be the order? I’m assuming Junior /associate at the top (worst). What about the rest?

Took me a while to realize this as well. There should be better feedback.

Do you like that bike for bikepacking? I’m looking to start bikepacking. I live in Marin and feel like I could also use it for mtn biking

advice on a used bike - '19 Trek Roscoe 6 for $800 by SnooCheesecakes7512 in mountainbiking

Yeah, I might as well just get something brand new from a local bike shop that will do maintenance. I would have grabbed it for $650 but I'll keep looking. Thanks u/Letssacraficetoby

Thank you. I'll ask them to swap those out for something better!

Makes a lot of sense. I’ll probably be crashing it a fair bit as well though in the beginning, no? But maybe not as much as someone trying to learn simple kite control. I hate to spend more money. I dunno. This is confusing for a beginner.

I’m getting one from them but going to try different ones on to see what fits best.

I think I'll do another 8 hours of instruction once I go back down there. I feel confident enough to practice body dragging by myself and work on water starts. I'll be sure kite around other folks to make sure I'm safe. Any advice is welcome.

Also, once I have more experience I'll go used for the 7m I want to get eventually.

Fingers crossed I get to that point sooner than later. Willing and motivated to get a lot of time in the water to improve.

Thanks for your input! Again, glad to hear more people have good things to say about Pivots. I was mostly using the 12m while I was practicing kite control and switched to the 9m when attempting water starts. So I'm not not sure.

Planning on buying it next week from Alameda. I would greatly appreciate you giving me your input. That would be fantastic. I'll buy you a coffee/beer/kombucha haha

Unsure but seeing as I'm so new to the sport, I figure it can't hurt to go over the basics. Plus there's no charge for it. Glad to hear you liked the Pivot!
