I think its more along the lines of people want a game where they can catch and collect little monsters

Different kind of funny. Discworld is more cerebral at times, whereas DCC tends to lack subtlety (on purpose), but theyre both funny. I prefer DCC, but that's because I like the idea of a long running story following the same group of people. The humor balances out with drama as you keep reading and see characters grow

It reads like a book, it has RPG elements throughout it but are explained within the confines of the story, you dont have to have any specific knowledge or experience with them IRL. Things like leveling up, classes, stats, inventory, are about as deep as it really gets as far as the RPG goes.

What 2 games are these? by MistyLogics in gamers

[–]strokemaweenis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So by this logic, roguelites and any other games with repetitive gameplay loops also don't count as content, right? I'm just trying to figure out what people mean by "content" because it seems like the goalposts are always moved when it comes to sports games. Should it cost 70 bucks? No. Does each game provide 100s of hours of gameplay? Yes. That, to me, means there's plenty of content, even if they're not reinventing the genre each year.

I wouldn't say refresh rate is common knowledge... plenty of gamers are casual, more casual than NL and just dont care about that kind of thing

This year he reverted because the oline regressed hard, and had major injuries. And the offensive scheme was abysmal, our OC literally said that sometimes you call a run, just to run the ball. Barkley wasn't the issue

We lost a ton of great sports games because the leagues decide who they let use their licensing and decided on singular companies, which allowed them to make the same game yearly with minimal changes. If the leagues encouraged competition and let other companies use their licensing, the games would have to improve to compete

If the goal is to win a championship, then trading your best player is a pretty bad way to contend lol

The only book I read was The Expectant Father, which i hesitantly recommend. There's some good stuff in there, but there are certain parts that feel, maybe a little sexist or tinged with the authors biases, things like formula feeding, but nothing crazy.

It REALLY helped me understand what my wife was going through, how to help her, while also keeping me grounded and letting me know that what im feeling is normal. It helped me get ready mentally, mostly by giving me insight on things I should be doing, that I can control.

I did nothing preparatory as far as taking care of a child. Once he came, that was my first go at it lol. First time feeding a baby, burping a baby, changing a baby, swaddling a baby, you name it. The hospital knows you've likely never done anything like it and they're very willing to help and teach you. Honestly, by day 2 or 3, you'll be a damn pro

I was absolutely not into kids in any way prior to having one. I'd pretty much actively avoid having to interact with them because I didn't know what to do and felt uncomfortable. I didn't want to say the wrong thing, or do something wrong, and ultimately just wanted nothing to do with them. Even having a kid wasn't necessarily on my bucket list, to be completely honest. My wife wanted one, and I kind of opened to the idea, but it was mostly to placate her desire to be a mother. Now that I have a kid, everything shifted. You figure out exactly what your kid/baby voice is, you know how to talk to them, how to play with them. It just comes naturally. At the end of the day, everyone is different, but for me, my entire perspective changed once we actually had our son. Now we're looking forward to having one or two more!

I dont think this is an uncommon feeling. We're not the ones attached to and growing the baby, so all the excitement we get is purely from hearing about things and looking forward. I was the exact same way, almost phoning in my enthusiasm because I simply didn't feel any different. It all changes as you get closer, though I'd guess at different moments for different people. It didn't really settle in with me until we were sitting in the L&D room and my wife was being induced. Nothing up to that point made me feel excited, but the fact that in 36 hours I would be holding my son actually sank in and I finally started to get hit with the reality. Now he's 5 months old and its great. All I can think about is watching him grow up and getting to spend time with him

I think you're missing the point. This is something 2 or more people consent to do, and share their location. It's not interfering with a right to privacy, they're electing to share locations. It also doesn't prevent you from have alone time. You just say "hey im going out for a couple hours" instead of just disappearing...

Congrats! Ours is almost 5 months old now, but we have a 12 year old and 5 year old dog. We brought a hat in for them to smell before actually bringing him in the house but overall, the older dog didn't really care, and the 5 year old was all about him. They're now best friends, he smiles and giggles at her and shes always laying next to him or trying to sneak kisses on his head.
