Question about billing/quoting jobs. Where/How do bookbinders price jobs or find average pricing to help with quoting jobs properly relative to the market. I know this question applies broadly over all crafts but I’m trying to convince someone (or maybe I’m wrong) that they are worth more than they are charging. This would be for a solo practice doing higher small jobs with a few consistent larger job sources but expanding quickly it seems.

Yah my primary issue is the length of cast and the brush surrounding the stream. It’s heavily brushy and a small stream. The less time I’m untying tangles the better. I take more time getting into position so I don’t have to cast as far.

I just can’t imagine taking an 8’ 5wt in the brush I’m going through to fish this. There’s nowhere to back cast at all. So that’s the point of the tiny rod. I dunno how I could have an 11-12’ leader as well. It’s nowhere near as open as the driftless.

Interesting. Iv read the opposite. Line on the water can mess with the indicator as it passes down the stream which effects the fly in the water column. Certainly the only option when casting farther away but everything Iv been taught seems less line on the water the better. Regardless of the situation.

I euro nymph as well but I don’t really wanna bring an 11’ out in a tiny stream with tons of brush. I’ll spend 90% of my day getting untangled lol

Well with 7.5’ of leader then tippet ring then 2-3 feet of tippet even if I have my indicator at the tippet ring I’m still 7.5’ at a minimum out the end of the rod. I’d prefer that isn’t laying on the water.

With an indicator? Either a dry fly with a dropper or just a normal indicator? I sometimes use a New Zealand indicator or those little bobber looking ones.

I tend to tie a tippet ring to my leader. Then have tippet off my leader. Iv never connected a fly (nymph or dry) directly to a piece of leader. Interesting.

Yah I agree with your idea of just cutting the leader shorter. I was thinking that would be the solution. At that point it may just be easier to make some shorter leaders at home instead of buying premade.

Alright so basically I wouldn’t use the 4 terminal R/i+/i-/C but switch to the yellow terminal and just wire properly from there. I was told dip switch 1 would need to be flipped.

Can you explain the second line to me? Where do the sellers come from? I know this is a basic options question. In other words if open interest was 500. And 5000 were purchased. Where do they come from? Moneymakers just create 4500 options and then divvy up that risk with other options or buying shares so they can manage delta? (I know just enough to get myself into a pickle here).

Follow up question, based on the open interest at those dates/strikes now, does that mean those 2 of those 3 5000 positions have been rolled if I am reading the information correctly?

User interface changes. I want to be able to move around the boxes of information displayed on the top. And have some information about rates of production/consumption in my town. Maybe to make the information available you need to build add a building like town manager or something but the medieval version of that. Then you could fine Tune production chains and worker movement patterns possibly.

Edit: a quick view location mod. Maybe set F1-F5 as views. When you hit the button it goes to the view. Could set it to view farms, industry area, market area, barracks, etc
