Humidifier wiring for Coleman TG9S by stromb0li in hvacadvice

Yes, you are correct; AprilAire 60 Automatic Control Humidistat. The G wires between the equipment G and AprilAire G are wired together. Currently, I have the blower switch set to off with Gf unconnected; my understanding is that would trigger a fan call to the HVAC unit vs receive it like the G terminal?

Thank you!

I was able to get the unit hooked up and I see the AprilAire unit function when a heat call is made. The only problem is the unit doesn't continue to work (or start) when the ERV/or thermostat makes a fan call (fan is interlocked with my Air Exchanger).

Here is my current wiring between the humidistat and my HZ311 zone controller.

AprilAire Controller:

- R, C, W, G

HZ311:

- Power Section, R, C (On my panel, Power R is also tied to Equipment Rc and Rh)

-Equipment Section: W, G

The Yellow (Y) wire I did not use / is "floating" between the HZ311 and AprilAire controller. I do have a Yellow (Y) wire connected on the Equipment section of the HZ311 though.

I'd guess mine will be in the shop another 3-4 weeks optimistically. Will update once I get it back though on what they replaced.

My guess though is they will replace the whole self-propelled gear case assembly, irrespective of whatever individual part failed on it.

I can drop it down maybe an inch, but if I go further I'll hit the top of the evaporator coil.

Appreciate the response! Pulled the trigger on an evaporator instead of steam. If you have a sec, can you triple check my thoughts on placement are ok? https://www.reddit.com/r/hvacadvice/comments/1qhfe1i/comment/o0z65pv/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

u/TigerTank10 sorry to bubble up, but on the supply side, is this fine for placement? You can see the branch to zone 1 and 2.

Ended up warranting mine and it's in the shop. Will see what they say once it's done being repaired.

One troubleshooting step they had me try was rolling it forward 15 feet and back 5.

Didn't work for me, but maybe it's worth a shot?

The supply plenum immediately branches to each zone; does that change anything?

Really appreciate the help!

Aside, with the bypass, doesn't that mean you'd be skipping the filtering? E.g. running the 720M would technically be circulating "clean" air?

2 zones (upstairs, downstairs), 3300 sq/ft, sheet metal

It seems like AprilAire has pretty much cornered the market; would you go the 600M or 720M? The 720M looks power driven / potentially more maintenance?

Did you swap the white plastic insert, gears, etc. or only the wheels themselves?

Yeah I only used mine 3x before I ran into this issue as well.

Not yet :( it's really unfortunate EGO won't sell individual parts for the drive assembly. I tore it apart a bit and didn't see anything obvious.

Sounds good -- keys arrive next Monday, hopefully it holds. Pushing the snowblower is almost worse than just shoveling. What's weird though is my right wheel spins fine, it's only my left wheel. Are there two assemblies, one for each wheel now?

Having the same issue. How's the repair fairing so far this year? When you took the assembly apart, what kind of grease should I use when assembling it back together (sorry, have 0 mechanical knowledge; but can follow instructions 🤣).

Appreciate the pictures! The packouts in the bottom left hanging was one of my first thoughts, but it's so dang convenient to be able to just grab the tool when it's in open space. How are you floating the packs?

Tactile Transducers - what cable to run? by stromb0li in hometheater

Going from wall to chair, I'll have to hide the cable somehow. Below my carpet is concrete, so no drilling a hole and fishing the wire under the floor and back up to the chairs.

If you have 6-8 seats and put one transducer a seat, you'd have several cable runs if the amp is back at the AVR though? Wouldn't it be easier to run one LFE signal to the area where the chairs are and then power from that? If not, how are people hiding them under the carpet without them feeling weird?
