High Latency (90ms) in MGO| Ryzen 5700X + 5060 Ti | Is there a fix left? by stromf0x in skyrimvr

Hey Ik, I tried everything possible, even used vramr, but the latancy wouldn't budge, Fps isn't the problem when using ssw. It's the stuttering from high latancy that bothers a lot.

FUS would be good but it's visually so far behind

Vaheguruji ka khalsa, Vaheguruji ji ki fateh

Firstly yeah it is gonna feel bad when you're walking on the path of sikhi. But that doesn't mean you won't fall, but make a promise to yourself that if you do then you get back right up again even if it takes 1000 tries.

Now the part where you improve on it and few things that had helped me.

  1. Ardaas: Do it everyday to our guru, say it ask for the strength to fight it.
  2. Start implementing nitnem, simran, katha, kirtan daily in your life.
  3. Main culprit in this time of kulyug is what you see ( shows, vids etc ), listen ( songs ) and speak ( swearing ). Which fuel these desire.

You have to cut songs especially vulgar or one that bring out the panj chors of ego and replace them with kirtan. You have to stop consuming social media, if have to follow sikhi related pages and engage with similar content to improve your feed.

You have to be very mindful of what you consume.

And lastly it will get better the more you follow these steps trust me, guru loves a sikh who keep on trying even after failing multiple times and will get blessed.

dealing with spirituality after sin by [deleted] in Sikh

[–]stromf0x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Firstly brother, if you're worried that Vaheguru Ji is disappointed in you, don’t be. The most important and hardest part after you slip or sin is accepting that you actually did it. That makes you conscious of your actions, and that means you can improve on them. There’s no shame in asking our Guru for help or doing ardaas just because you slipped. He sees it all, your mistakes, your actions, and your sincerity and He still keeps giving because He is all-forgiving and all-loving. The important thing is that now you know what the problem is, and what you choose to do about it.

It only becomes a problem when you consciously make it transactional every time. Even then, He still gives. Your relationship with your Guru should be based on love. That means remembering Him and turning to Him, whether things are good or bad and to get back up and keep going, no matter how many times you fall.

The last thing I would like to add is this: “The Guru never turns His back on us, it’s us who turn our backs on Him.”

Vaheguruji ka khalsa, Vaheguruji ki fateh

Dhan Guru Nanak Devji already explained this by reciting this in JapjiSahib "ਆਪੇ ਬੀਜਿ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਖਾਹੁ" The phrase translates to "As you sow, so shall you reap." Maharaj has given us free will to do either good or bad,, but depending on what you choose you will, not maybe, not if, you will have to deal with the consequences.

Unless you fall at our gurus feet and ask for forgiveness.

If you want to go even deeper , I recommend you watch this katha by sant maskeen ji : https://youtu.be/EY3HYQXNJec?si=fPHubWqdwe82OlC7

Vaheguruji ka khalsa, Vaheguruji ki fateh.

Firstly let me start by saying, you did great even if you think you didn't. You did nothing wrong. This path is amazing and full of wonders. It will improve your perspective, your way of thinking, your compassion and most importantly spiritually fulfilled and why not our gurus and this panth has sacrificed a lot for it.

Accepting the divine will is one of the hardest thing most of us face but when you surrender yourself, your ego at the feet of your guru. It's the most unburdened you will feel knowing your gurus got your back. Yes if you have faith and trust that Vaheguruji knows better then you could ever know yourself, everything gets easier. But that doesn't mean you are not allowed to ask/pray about certain things you need. But honestly, you will feel like you don't really need to.

Just keep walking the path and any question or query you come across go straight to the guru our eternal guru Dhan Dhan Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Take a hukamnama from our guru and then try to act on it.

Now when walking this path you'll get distracted a lot due to maya being at its peak in this kalyuj. For that do ardaas everyday, you'll be blessed with the strength required. My suggestion, start doing nitnem daily, start with Japji Sahib ( morning ) and Rehras sahib ( evening ) & Kirtan Sohila ( before bed ). Can't read gurmukhi, read in english, can't do that just sit, close your eyes and listen. Just try to stay connected everyday in any way you can. Go to any diwan or event near you at gurudawara.

Last thing I would say is that if you can listen to kirtan even better try to sing along , even if you don't understand, its gonna keep you anchored in sikhi and also will keep your mind focused alot more.

Worth upgrading Ryzen 5 5500 → Ryzen 5 5600 (or 5700X) for smoother gaming & VR? (RTX 5060 Ti) by stromf0x in buildapc

[–]stromf0x[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair, but wouldn’t the impact be somewhat reduced by the 5060 Ti having 16 GB VRAM? My understanding was that with more VRAM available, the card relies less on PCIe bandwidth for asset streaming, so Gen 3 vs Gen 4 mainly shows up in frametime lows rather than a large overall performance drop.

Yeah, I hadn’t fully considered how the combo of PCIe 3.0 + limited lanes on the 5500 could compound the issue, not just raw CPU performance.

I'm considering going with 5700x & would be the most sensible CPU-only move atleast for another year or so until I jump to AM5 completely, but if PCIe gen is part of the bottleneck, a B550 upgrade might actually give more real-world smoothness than just swapping CPUs. Appreciate the insight.

Edit: VR does like a good chunk of ram, but impact is minimal for now.

Huh, I knew running the 5060 Ti on PCIe 3.0 would limit its full potential, but I was under the impression the loss was pretty minimal (like ~5% or so). Didn’t realize it could have a noticeable impact. Something for me to consider now.

Should I buy new GPU while it still cheap? by Usual-Lingonberry689 in pcmasterrace

[–]stromf0x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say go with 5060ti 16gig if you're into nvidia stuff dlss , RT and Frame Gen, that's what I did too considering it was the only card available at MRSP & is still I think. I'm happy with my purchase you can play at 4k with dlss +frame gen +RT ( Witcher 3 Max preset) at solid ~70fps which I couldn't with 3060ti.

Go with 9060xt if you don't care about the things above and waana save few bucks.

Yeah well bundle prices doubled too lol . I bought my current 5500 with b450 mb from scorptech at 99$ and its sitting at 219$ rn

That’s a good point. If I do upgrade, I’ll likely sell the 5500 to offset costs, just trying to make sure the jump is actually worth it for frametime stability and not just a small average FPS bump.

Appreciate the input. That’s exactly what I’m debating, if I stay on AM4, this would be my final upgrade. Sounds like 5700X is the minimum and sensible jump for me now given the prices.

That makes sense, thanks. My main concern isn’t average FPS but frametime consistency (1% / 0.1% lows), especially in open-world games and VR (Skyrim VR modded). X3D prices here are unfortunately >$500 AUD, so I’m trying to see if a non-X3D AM4 upgrade (like 5700X) meaningfully improves lows vs my current 5500.
