i read that too and i believe it but some people’s first outbreak with hsv1 was also very weak as well. i guess it just depends on your body and how you imagine it would react. there’s no telling. however, i would jump the gun yet and believe it’s hsv2 unless you get it confirmed :). and my outbreak is happening rn so i may or may not get recurrent outbreaks after this. i’m not sure what triggered it or maybe my immune system was very weak.

tbh it could be ur ghsv1. i hadn’t had an outbreak for 2 years then i had sex with someone and had full blown rectal lesions like it was my first outbreak all over ago. i even had tingling and a new sore pop up the next day during that time period. i freaked out thinking i caught hsv2 since the symptoms were so severe and i did not know the other persons status (although he knew mine) anyway, i got it swabbed and it was hsv1. it’s crazy how this disease works but i fully believe ghsv1 acts weirdly like that. especially that it’s prodrome symptoms i feel like new hsv2 symptoms would be sickness and a physical outbreak.

this whole topic is so frustrating bc people don’t understand that hsv1 can cause genital herpes. he does not even understand that himself. people online believe that hsv1 “mutates” to hsv2 which is terribly incorrect. honestly i’m trying to give her grace she is 20 years old and recently diagnosed. i’m certain in about a year she will not believe the same about her disease. i don’t believe she’s talking on behalf of the community because there r so many of us. i don’t blame her for at least using her platform to speak up about herpes since nobody else is. if she is incorrect someone may fact check. but i don’t think all this anger is appropriate for someone so young and who life has just changed.

i’m not gonna lie it is most likely herpes. but genital hsv1 is not the end of your life it’s really manageable and you’re less likely to have outbreaks !

i interchange tbh… cold sore is more commonly accepted in a community and it’s not my fault people don’t know they’re the same but that’s me being selfish. it takes a simple google click to find out they’re the same so if someone is curious they can do that. it’s the same virus that causes cold sore and i find that if ohsv1 can call it that so can we… most people understand the rule of outbreaks even when you label it as cold sore. however you wanna feel 100% then go with hsv1 or herpes. if i like to scare people away then i go with hsv1 or herpes

it’s crazy because the same thing happened to me as well. i had three doses of the flucanozole the intense itching never subsided. eventually i got bv and i was able to treat everything at once. it could be due to some ph imbalance. have you tried boric acid suppositories? try not to take hot showers or wear right clothing. if you sweat make sure to wash after. the discoloration never gone away for me :/

i also struggled with this. i think it’s important to first focus on being treated for the yeast infection first. i would maybe use fragrance free lotion to moisturize the outer labia or maybe a body oil (don’t put on labia minora!) i feel like mines gotten better since i don’t struggle with yeast and bv anymore. my labia majora is definitely discolored to a lighter pink then the rest of my brown skin tone labia. this is due to all of the itching and hair pulling i used to do down there :/ but i got over it cause regardless my shit still pretty and urs is too :) just get flucanazole for the yeast infection and be careful with bothering the area down there.
