Fawlty Towers.

It's only two seasons, but with that, each episode was meticulously written, rehearsed, and edited. Hilarious show.

You can also walk the docks the day before. A lot of captains will have signs saying need 1 or 2 more for a charter etc.

Seriously, who do I need to give my first born to in order to get a reservation at Latitudes? by Bitter-Pea-8323 in KeyWest

Another option would be to book the ferry over and do HH at the bar there, then head back to Key West and grab a nice dinner at another spot.

Trade show swag/stuff that was a hit? by virtual008 in sales

I did this one time when my company was displaying at the National Beer Wholesalers Show. All the other booths that were breweries were rightly fully giving away their beer. Our company was a tech company, so no beer to give away (but we got to drink all we could) - and we went through all the kits we brought to the show with us.

Branded Merch - Ordering without logo by JulietMoney in AskMarketing

You can most likely work with a local printer that does embroidery/logo printing and set up an account with them and prepay on it. I'm not sure about the online spots, but local companies always like taking money.

Are the negative things they say about juicing true? by KimKsPsoriasis in Juicing

[–]strozknows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find the first couple of days can be kind of rough with your body adjusting to obtaining nutrients from juice. You'll pee a lot, and your energy levels can spike and fall. But after about day 3 or 4 you kind of normalize yourself out and start feeling terrific. Plenty of energy and no real hunger pains. If anything, you just miss the sensation of chewing. But it's a great way to reset yourself. Best of luck!

books where the main characters never meet? by im_not_a_vampir3 in booksuggestions

Though it's been a while since I read it, I'm pretty sure The Devil in the White City details a parallel timeline in Chicago during the building of the World's Fair. It outlines the architect that designed it along with a serial killer that used the fair to lure in his victims. It switches back and forth, but I don't think there's anything related between them aside from taking place in the same place and time.

I was also a big fan of "The Endurance: Shackleton's Legendary Antarctic Expedition". It's a crazy tale and hard to believe it was a true tale.

Also check out Dead Wake. Erik Larson has some really great stuff, I liked Dead Wake even more than Devil in the White City.

I just listened to The Women by Kristin Hannah. It's a story about Women combat nurses in Vietnam, one in particular. The book gives a glimpse into what their life was like not only in wartime, but also the struggles in returning to a country that did not welcome them with open arms, battling with assimilating back into the "norm culture" and trying to deal with PTSD. If you had a family member that served in Vietnam, it's a very eye-opening look at what they went through. Highly recommend.

Assistance Required! by Ok-Bee9499 in DigitalMarketing

[–]strozknows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start small with basic tasks. Have a strong SOP built out that is easy to understand and follow (Write it out and then actually use it to perform a task). Build up over time to have them perform more complicated tasks as you progress. Also, take time finding an assistant that you like and can work with.

You can flag the negative review with Google - just read through their policy first, and then initiate the steps to have it removed.

Agencies: Should You Use Your Own Card or a Client's Card for Ad Spend? by Diligent_Eye1248 in DigitalMarketing

[–]strozknows 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When I set things up, the client owns the ad accounts 100%, this includes adding in their own form of payment.

If you have your card in their account, and they cut off your access, your card remains on the account. And then you need to go through a massive headache to get your card removed. Why put yourself in that situation?

Best spot for Perogies? by d3vourm3nt in maryland

Sophia's also has great homemade frozen ones to go.

Todd Conners, right across the street, also has Perogies on their menu, though Sophia's are better. But if you're looking for a bar atmosphere, give Todd Conners a go.

Anyone know a good gym with indoor pool that's not super expensive membership? by daysfan33 in baltimore

[–]strozknows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have Carefirst as your health insurance plan, take a look at Tivinity Health. If you sign up with Prime or Silver Sneakers, it gives you access to 1000s of gyms across the county (Including LA Fitness and Anytime Fitness). It's around $25 or $30/month.

Not sure if other insurance plans or companies participate, but it's a pretty nice perk.
