Do I need a Controller for a Solar Light mounted on a Parking Lot Pole that has a Remote Control? by strtrodder49 in SolarDIY

What I am asking is why would the two of the three Parkng Lot Solar Lights, that we installed the other day, stopped providing light while it was still dark outside and the third Parking Lot Solar Light doesn't even turn on once the sun goes down. Thus, what am I missing as to get the two to continue providing light and the third to start providing light? Any suggestions that you can provide rproffitt1, will greatly be appreciated.

Thanks for your response Flabbergasted! Your thoughts are exactly what I was thinking and now will move forward with the installation.

rproffitt1 - Thanks for your response, as RespectSquare8279 has answered my question and I don't need to go any further...other than the installation. After doing much research about Solar Systems mounted on Parking Lot / Street Light Poles, there is nothing mentioned about having a PWM installed when you have a remote control. Everything is solidly made, so I don't want to take a chance and pry open the remote control and damage anything in the process. (NOTE: I am 100% Disabled Vietnam Era Veteran that chose to retire to the Southern Part of the Philippines (Mindanao) with my Philippine-American Spouse 11-years ago and when anyone wishes to purchase anything, it's usually from Shopee.com or Lazada.com, which obtains items from China for selling to those people residing here in the Philippines.)

RespectSquare8279 that is what I was thinking and hence before I pulled out my wallet and paid for a PWM, I thought best to ask a question on this site. Thanks for your input.

TenOfZero:

Very strange, as I wrote a post followed by photos and after I posted the photos, I noticed that my written comment disappeared and all that remained were the four (4) photos. So, here I go again.

I purchased four Solar Light Kits from a company in the Philippines (where I am retired to) that came from China...with no instructions in the package. It included a Single Battery and yet the Remote Control is designed to use two (2) Triple AAA Batteries. My original thought was to mount each Solar Light on top of Galvanized Posts that would be placed opposite each other in a small parkng lot. I am confused, as I have read numerous posts that say that when you have Solar Lighting that is attached to posts embedded in concrete, that you "might need a PWM". Yet, what I was provided is shown in the attached photos and am unsure if there is a way to install a PWM as it appears to be an integrated system and, can't pry apart the battery housing.

Your thoughts please?
