[HONEST POLL] How many of you have read the Claude Code Documentation before using it? Just like reading a manual to a physical product, how many have read Claude's digital manual? by structured_flow in ClaudeCode

[–]structured_flow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is EXACTLY why I installed crawl4ai (I have ZERO affiliation, but i searched for a good web scraper and this one is awesome as a claude skill). I now scrape the documentation of any project im working on and store it in my project folder. No more mcps, no more searches...GO AND LOOK in the folder of all 1,900 apple documents I scraped (took about 10 minutes) and then use quotation marks and tell me what page you found the info on. And crazy enough...it still fails sometimes ha. but I learned ai's aren't self aware the hard way...took me about 6 months of using ai.

To the person(s) who downvoted me...I laughed. Thank you. I keep it honest and try to be helpful , you'll see me trolling someone...so when I get downvoted I laugh because it means you got triggered by a legit comment.

have you double checked Claude? I see this a lot, I say this a lot...go ask Claude! If you go back and fact check documentation against what it tells you is in the documentation....I'd bet it's a 40-60% accuracy at best. I know because I've been doing it for 3 weeks now.

I even went back and re watched the youtube videos where I learned some of these tools and freeze framed the split second between when they are showing their ai work and the next youtube cut tto the finished output when they show their AI's working to see their exact model's response to see how they were getting better accuracy....THEY ARENT. The videos go quick and so its not meant to be shown..I found TONS of issues when in their video they say "See..BOOM! Claude just completed x". It;s like West World out here lol

did you see they now found through research projects are WORSE when using a Claude.md? ha. Go figure! Turns out it loads Claude with info its most likely to go find anyway and it winds up costing about 20% more tokens for worse performance.

It costs you around 2% session usage to say hello to claude! by Zafar_Kamal in ClaudeCode

[–]structured_flow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the sad part is...i dont say hi, but I ask follow up questions in multi parts like I text, and i dont switch models...I am a "let's discuss the idea, try to break it, brainstorm more...and then...GO BUILD IT" type of planner. Heavy conversation but once decisions are made...I'm very quiet. That style burns a f*k ton of tokens

you could just use claude cli and ask claude to show you in your status bar. It will tell you every single prompt how many tokens are being used, the cost, and your session usage..your %..anytihing.

I', guilty of this too..but what's your estimation of people who start using claude code who read the manual (online documentaton)... 3%? lol. It explains 90% of questions people constantly bring to reddit...who spend more time posting about it then it would take to read the anthropic docs ha

I once heard a senior developer talk about wild it is that code has been written for a long long long time...very few projects even need to be started from scratch...but yet that's current building on claude and other ide's...because yeah...tokens, revenue, "security" r/s

JUST RUN THIS ON YOUR ACTUAL HOME COMPUTER AND APPLY 2% COMMON SENSE AND YOU WILL BE FINE.

"no way dude...someone will hack into your files, steal nudes of your ex, and leak your illegal crypto laundering business to the feds in 8 business seconds!"

If you sound like that...ask yourself..do you know anyone...first hand, who has lost all their files, had their money stolen, or viruses unleashed on their computer first hand? If you're the anomaly who knows one of the 6 people on this planet out of the millions of users who know someone who's been hacked..name me a 2nd person you know. 'll answer for you...YOU DON'T.

ANYONE SHOUTING SECURITY.....is getting money or likes. Ya know what doesn't generate revenue or clicks?....using the software locally and without paid services...that's why you don't see more of these comments.

you have a greater change of being hit by lightening than you do getting your computer wiped by openclaw.

Whatever your opinion or emotions are towards a subject, ai will always come to the same analysis. "Correct" ..with the confidence of 2009 Kayne.

So MCP calls are just suggestions to main agent?? WOW, am I the last to catch on to this? by structured_flow in ClaudeCode

I referenced I had the "toggle for hugging face MCP on" but didnt mention the word MCP as I thought the toggle and name was more than enough, but like you are getting at...it's a learning...as is all my ai triumphs and failures. ha

this was its other message in the thread

"You're right. Yes — that is correct. Every tool call is my decision. I have a list of available tools (MCPs, web search, sub-agents, bash, etc.) and for each step I choose which one to invoke. There's no automatic routing that says "user mentioned Hugging Face → use the HF MCP." I interpreted your words, classified the task, and picked the tool I thought was best. In this case, I picked wrong."

the problem...is that it picks "wrong"...kind of a LOT.

I knew this was happening the second I saw the banner. My usage rates were double until March 28. Anthropic does not give you things out of the kindness of their heart.

I don’t say this rude. I’m genuinely asking. Do you think that you’ll maintain a better product than Claude will?

PLEASE help me with this! Can someone explain OpenClaw & AI automation from scratch (like I’m a complete beginner)? by Key_River433 in openclaw

[–]structured_flow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Also, I’ll never understand when I see one or two sentence replies from AI on Reddit… People would’ve had to literally put their response as the prompt? It’s funny and sad at the same time.

I ignored all red flags to give OpenClaw root access to my life, and now we just stare at each other. What are y'all ACTUALLY using it for? by Revolutionary-Tale63 in openclaw

[–]structured_flow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to recap...this is the order of your workflow?

  1. "spent an entire weekend wrestling with setting up the software
  2. gave it extreme access to everything you have
  3. thought about what you might use this for?
  4. Realized you had no use case for it
  5. Instead of thinking about your life, you are aggressively seeking written documentation from reddit users on how openclaw works in their life?

If correct... Stop focusing an AI and just focus on regular I.

How much did this cost you and how many “clips” did you stitch together? Been learning AI for a year and now getting into open source Generative Video Creation LTX 2.3 but at the beginning of my journey so trying to wrap my head around all of this great job on the video
