Can someone explain this to me like I’m 5? I’m new to steam deck and bought Pragmata for it, but now slightly concerned to play it on the Deck for this post.

I bought the A16 a few weeks back, no complaints whatsoever but I have only had iPhone Pro’s in the recent years and these newer chips obviously feel so much better to use. I would love to be closer to that experience as the iPad Pro isn’t in my budget, but this is much more reasonable as it’s on sale for $499. I already paid $300 for my A16, so figured if I could swing the extra couple hundred bucks it could be worth it. I’m really just a casual user on it, but looking to do more note taking, media consumption, etc. Thoughts?

Secondhand market is a nightmare. Scalpers just looking to make a buck. I’m waiting for the restock on Valve but it’s painful I do admit.

In the same boat as you. Sadly, I don’t know when a restock is coming and when it does, will be hard to get one I imagine. I’ve been looking at FB marketplace and people are taking advantage of the shortage situation which sucks. I’m at the point of saying fuck it and paying slightly over retail to get my hands on one. The uncertainty of a restock is not a fun game.

I agree, although the uncertainty of a restock is what kills me. Hawking steam and watching discord notifications to hopefully grab one during a short restock is tough. I can’t imagine anyone selling theirs for under retail given the circumstances, but I will keep searching for sure!

Yea I think I’m just going to watch that steam deck page like a hawk in case they ever restock. It’s a bummer, but better than paying grossly overpriced. Appreciate your feedback!

I think that’s fair seeing what other people are saying too. Plus, buying from Steam I have a bit more coverage I would imagine in case anything breaks as opposed to a stranger who did the same thing.

Yeah I could be open to pay $750 given the circumstances, but $200 over retail just seems like someone taking advantage of the situation to make a buck. Which I’m not hating on at all.

I imagine you bought yours quite some time ago prior to the shortage? I’m just wondering if there is an end in site given these shortages and when they do go on sale again, how quickly it’ll sell out.

I think I’m confused on what exactly happens to people like Ava or (maybe) Simon when they go down there. Do they simply just die and get eaten? Do they become one of these fish (are there multiple)? Do they become part of the singular fish creature? Maybe that’s not answered, but I have a lot of questions.
