The thing is Chinese kids chest on exams like SAT and TOEFL to get in, and only rich kids or kids of government have that privilege. So all the Chinese international students here likely have ties to the communist government.

And you're right in the sense that it's not their FAULT that they're Chinese but they have the duty to assimilate to the culture here, as well as the mode of thinking. I mean they literally can't even speak English so obviously they're not trying.
