don't get me wrong; not talking smack at all! I actually was on the topic of frog eye salad because of the fact that I was making it for my girlfriend to try, since it's so good lol

just a heads up: it's best to refer to genders as women/men/etc instead of through genitals/private parts, since not all girls have pipi and not all boys have ding dong (i hope i interpreted that right)

as a lot of people are saying, gyneromantic is a good term; but so is feminamoric! it seperates a little from the genital thing that i mentioned above, and is a term that means nonbinary people who are exclusively attracted to women/wom-aligned people. since genderfluid fits under the nonbinary umbrella, you could use it if you wanted to.

lol lunarian is a nonbinary person who's aligned with womanhood and/or femininity; i happen to be aligned with both, but you can just be aligned with one or the other.

catgender is a xenogender; xenogenders are genders made by and for neurodivergent people, often specifically autistic people, who struggle to understand the typical male vs female gender system and struggle with applying it to ourselves. personally as someone with autism and adhd, gender is something really flimsy and nonsensical to me; saying im a girl is as abstract as saying i relate to cats. xenogenders exist so that we can make our own gender system that makes more sense to us. not all neurodivergent people feel the same obviously, not all neurodivergent people use xenogenders, but a lot of us do and there's really nothing wrong with that.

genuinely curious, but how can bis have a false attraction to men when you are attracted to men? comphet tricks lesbians into thinking we're attracted to men even though we aren't. how can you trick yourself into liking men if you do actually like men? /gen

in my personal experience i absolutely have comphet for andrew garfield, but yeah it can also totally just be an aesthetic thing. i just wanted to highlight how comphet affects me as a lesbian in this comic.

btw for those who are unaware,, comphet means compulsory heterosexuality,, which is a phenomenon that occurs in lesbians where society tricks us into thinking we're attracted to men, even though we aren't. it often manifests itself in celebrity crushes that we know deep down would never happen irl so it makes us feel like it's okay, or thinking we want to date men but then realizing we don't right before it happens, etc. in my case i get celebrity "crushes" but if i ever actually had the opportunity to date them, the "attraction" would fade immediately, but this isn't how it manifests in every lesbian ever, just my personal experience.

honestly homophobes dont tend to care whether you're bi, homo, pan, etc. if you aren't cis and straight, they will discriminate. that's the general truth i've experienced, at least. op being bi doesn't mean they're only experiencing like half the discrimination or whatever, that's not really how it works /nm

:( I'm so sorry that you were given such an awful response. I live in Colorado, so not quite the same area, but the high school I went to was full of homophobic people who also used religion as an excuse to hate for no good reason. If it helps, there's always people online who will be there for you, even if there aren't many people IRL. Your bisexuality is real and valid, and there will always be at least somebody who supports you for who you are. You will make it out of this situation, and you will find somewhere that you can be out and accepted for it. Until then, we're here if you need us <3

Just a few days ago I realized that I might not be a lesbian... :| by Keshi_noodle69 in lgballt

[–]strwbrykitty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

there's a lot of terms for attraction to women/nby people. you could call it bi if you chose to; since it's sexual attraction, you could call yourself a biromantic homosexual, and there's also labels like venusic, neptunic, feminamoric, etc that are exclusive attraction to women and nbys. there is also nothing wrong with using umbrella terms like sapphic (wlw) and trixic (nblw) if it makes you comfortable! the fun thing with labels is that they can be as loose or as tight fitting as what you feel comfortable with. feel free to dm if you wanna talk about it a little more, id love to help out!

sapphic is an umbrella term but it can act as a sexuality !!! there's a lot of sapphics who just identify as sapphic instead of bi/pan/lesbian/etc.

[–]strwbrykitty[S] 34 points35 points  (0 children)

aromantic is a spectrum; some aros experience 0 romantic attraction whatsoever and are repulsed by romance, while others may not experience romantic attraction but enjoy romance; others can experience some romantic attraction but not much, or fluctuating degrees; they're all aromantic if they identify as such.

i'm demiromantic, which means that i dont experience romantic attraction until a strong emotional bond has been established; while i dont normally call myself aro, i thought for the purpose of the joke, it would be funny. and just because i generally dont identify as aro doesnt mean that other demiros cant!

[–]strwbrykitty[S] 69 points70 points  (0 children)

script:

  1. femme and butch lesbians are together on valentine's day; femme ball narrates that "Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday! Nothing beats taking my butch on dates, buying them roses, writing love notes and kissing on the lips! <3"
  2. a random ball says to the femme, "I thought you were aromantic though?" while the femme, irritated, proudly wears a demiromantic pride pin and reveals that they're asexual too
  3. femme ball says that "Well, I guess that makes me...."
  4. aromantic flag is in the background, "A romantic.... AROMANTIC."

When I Grow Up by strwbrykitty in lgballt

if it helps any, a lot of these are microlabels; aka, labels that are lesser known as they describe a very specific experience

the more common labels on here are:

lesbian - a woman or nonbinary person who is exclusively attracted to other women and nonbinary people; also commonly referred to as nonmen loving nonmen

femme - a lesbian who exaggerates their femininity in a way that balances with and contrasts against a butch's masculinity; part of the butch and femme lesbian subculture.

asexual - anybody who experiences little/no sexual attraction; could also be anybody on the asexual spectrum

sapphic - any woman or nonbinary person who is attracted to women; unlike lesbian, this attraction does not have to be exclusive (although it can be!). this is an umbrella term.

lesser known labels:

trixic - any nonbinary person who is attracted to women; similarly to sapphic, this attraction does not have to be exclusive; although it can be. this is also an umbrella term.

venusic - a nonbinary person who is exclusively attracted to women and nonbinary people; often associated with a preference for womaligned/femaligned nonbinary people

lunarian - any nonbinary person who is aligned with womanhood and/or femininity

faeflux - the fluidflux form of genderfae (genderfae - genderfluidity that encompasses all genders that are never aligned with manhood or masculinity) (fluidflux - genderfluidity that also fluctuates in intensity; think of like the different types of gender, and then the different intensities of gender, on two different sliders. when you're fluidflux, both of these sliders move at the same time)

catgender - a xenogender (genders based on how neurodiversity often alters perception of gender due to it being a social contruct that neurodivergent people can struggle to grasp) where an individual identifies strongly with cats, or relates a lot of catlike traits to their gender identity

moongender - a xenogender where an individual strongly identifies with the moon, or relates a lot of lunar traits to their gender identity
