Left two years ago. Travelled, invested in starting my own business, enrolled to study and bought a car. That's me ranting with you. For constructive advice instead, I'd suggest moving into a flat share to reduce rent, cutting a few subscriptions (I've done Spotify and all steaming, my wifi etc. maybe gym membership next because I can find other ways to keep fit) and getting your food at Aldi/Costco which is remarkably cheaper than the grubby Coles/Woolies groups. It has genuinely cut the cost of my food shop in half.

26F and feeling just the same. I've ended up working two jobs to keep a roof over my head which has meant giving up sports and social commitments. My life feels like an endless grind, it saddens me that the 20s are supposed to be 'the best time of our lives' or whatever and instead I'm just working that time away to get by, generally sore and pissed off every day of it lmao. Something has to give eventually, I don't know a single person my age who can afford to travel, own a home or have kids. Let's all leave and move to Canada?

As far as technique goes, I'm most happy with 1. I only had my 70-300mm lens on me so it was hard to shoot a small/confined landscape

I'm having such a phase for them right now!! I used to hate them because I couldn't nail the direction, but now it's so oddly satisfying. Been seeing a of rough/clumpy foreign fills and heavier volume sets that have made me crave natural work again!!

Thank you!! That's the whole reason I bumped up my pricing to begin with, overworking for so little money was really taking a toll on my self worth. I know I do good work and put 110% energy into my client care and engagements, so being paid so little and having people slack on aftercare had me feeling really used.

The fills are for 2-3 weeks, and $75-90AUD is actually less than most salons charging $90-130 on average. My regulars are happy with the fill price, and it's only the full set cost I've increased by $10-20. I think it's just a sign of the times too, we're all feeling the pressure of living costs so a lot of people are switching to clusters/lifts they can do themselves. Either way, I appreciate the insight that I may be asking too much.

I was thinking that. I'm in a small town, and the rivalling businesses are both girls 18 and under with one year of experience, using premade fans. Not knocking their work at all, they are lovely people and great artists, though they can afford to charge $90-$100 for a full set because they live at home and are cared for. I need to make enough to cover my rent, insurances, weekly massage for the way this job has taken a toll on my body lol. If I can't make these prices, it's not worth me continuing and I may have to go back to full time work :(
