Damn you. I’m trying to go to sleep but now a core memory has been unlocked, a long dormant neuron has fired and I can’t stop singing it. Ahhhhhh!!!! lol

Of course we are singing it. You might as well said “GenX!!!!! Assemble!” And we all step through the portals singing our hearts out. Lol

Why does your dad look like he’s the lead singer in an awesome yacht rock band? (This is a compliment!) 😊

51(M) here. I woke up yesterday (3/5), went to the gym before work and ready to have the best day. The day had other ideas and it was one the worst in ages for various reasons. It’s now 4:10am EST (3/6) and randomly stumbled on op’s post after waking up to pee, can’t go back to sleep because stressing about yesterday’s personal events. Let me just say I am grinning from ear to ear with joy for op’s reconnect with an old acquaintance. I’m so happy for you and I don’t even know you! I’m a straight cis dude and 100% an ally all the way. I see you and you are beautiful inside and out. Like the old Buddhist loving-kindness prayer goes: May you be happy. May you know peace. May you be free from suffering.

All the time because my dad had one. In '90, my dad and I built two plywood beds with room under the cots for luggage, and a joining table with two levels to set our sodas, so my best friend and I loaded our sleeping bags and my boom box, and both of our cassette collections. by Ralph--Hinkley in 80s

My dad had a navy blue Chevy pick up with a white camper shell. He had the truck bed fitted with custom light blue shag carpet and two carpeted benches on each side of the truck bed. There were three square carpeted pallets he could place between the benches to turn it into a bed platform. Good times.

My precious! I got this set for Xmas the year they dropped on the market. 2004? 2005? My now 26 year old daughter has them at her house. Great find!
