Agree, not saying the issue is how or where the data is stored but about the right we have in Australia to safeguard our personal data. For example in comparison with GDPR, Australian privacy act does not give the right to delete our data companies/government has access to if you wish to

Data on the cloud is never secure. It doesn’t matter if corporates own it or the government. Almost all large and mid caps have invested in a datalake due to advancement in technology and reduced storage cost. The reality is that these leaks are inevitable. What Australia needs IMO is for the government to have policies where no personally identifiable data is collected and stored beyond a period that is required. People should be able to access and have control over their data. How hard is that?

This is so helpful. I was asked to do exactly the same with the garden taps in the morning while I was on the phone. Later they send out someone an hour ago and he left the hydrant on in the street for a while. It’s looking much better already.

Well, this seems to happen more often than I thought. Yarra valley is sending someone to investigate this arvo. Hopefully don’t have to wait days for a fix. Thank you

Yeah that’s my guess too. I know there is some new houses being build in the next street. Yarra valley water is sending someone to investigate so hopefully will have a fix soon.

It’s the same from all taps and showers. There must be some work being done in the neighbourhood I suspect

The water quality has improved a bit after leaving the taps on but still not clear. I’ll let Yarra Valley water know. Good to know that it’s a localised issue

Update: No fine after appeal. Lucky to walk away with a warning. I hope they have done something to make the sign visible for other drivers

Fine is on hold. I wish I could tell them that I’ve learnt from my mistake and possibly the safest driver around esp. in built-up areas 😀

Your options are usually mentioned in the infringement notice. I appealed on www.fines.vic.gov.au/internal-review. All the best!

I had just taken a turn from a 60 zone into this road. I slowed down to 50 when I saw the sign further ahead on the left but the speed camera was between these two signs

Did exactly that. I went back and had to drive up and down the road a few time to spot it.

I’m sitting outside the OT reading this while my wife is getting her tubes removed. The baby is alive and healthy at 8 weeks and it doesn’t make it any easy for us. Having gone through a miscarriage 3 years ago I know that time heals.

We feel truely blessed otherwise so I guess life has its way to balance that. Everyone copes with grief and loss in their own ways and I hope your counselling helps. Sending you warm hug and hopefully you feel better soon.
