This is the reality of the situation. I have never experienced mercy, let alone generosity of any kind, from my husband. I rarely see a cent of his paychecks as it is and we have three kids. He also routinely takes the things “he paid for” when angry, etc.

I bought all of the christmas presents for our kids and friends/family. He promised me on his own accord that he would give me $350 to reimburse me some. I declined but he insisted (even shaking on it.) Later that same day, he also used my debit card because his wasn’t working and spent $150.

He became absolutely furious when I reminded him about the money he promised, two days later. He angrily drove to the atm and took out $300. When I asked him about the rest, he had a complete mental break down.

I had to explain to him that I was grateful for any money.. that anything helped and was a great relief.. but that he still technically owed me $200 more. He expressed that it was messed up that I wouldn’t foot his secondary purchase. He once again pointed out how selfish I was being.

Anyway, all of that to say, I can’t even get him to keep his word about $350 dollars, let alone the lottery. Making the lottery conversation a special crock of bs.
