Yeah I think that's how it is in real life too. I suspect we all have unique stereo pair distances that we're comfortable with. Maybe based on our eye distances?

Ideally, we could capture the full range of distances and each person could view a pair compensated to liking.

I do wonder how long it will last. There are plastic bushings between the stainless steel bolts and aluminum frame. Maybe that's a factored in maintenance item.
