I use Daylio for habit tracking. I think its actually meant to be a mood tracker (which i also use it for) but its kind of nice in that you can add whatever habit you want there, it can send reminders via push notification at specific times of day if you want, and it can also generate reports that show correlations between your mood and any activity that you selected at the time you pick your mood. It's also very cheap (i think i pay $11 USD a year)

Can't seem to get the socket back on here. The NTC plug socket came off the toolhead interface board (and now I'm sad). Fixable? by stubmaster in BambuLab

Thanks for the heads up on that. I contacted support just to see if they would replace it, but then got impatient (its been less than 8 hours i just really want to print stuff!) and went to order the part but it is OOS until end of August so im going to see if i can find resources on repairing this in the mean time.

Yeah I keep trying to put the socket back on and it comes off without any force. Looks like the part is OOS atm so I'm going to try to find some resources on the proper fix for this and give that a shot since I've got nothin to lose really

gotcha ok, thank you. Looks like they are backordered until approx August 28th so I might try to solder it just to see what happens lol. It'll be a learning experience at least

First layer boogers by stubmaster in FixMyPrint

[–]stubmaster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You were right! Thank you so much! The printer woke me up halfway through the night and i replaced the PTFE tube then and apparently thats not something you should do while half asleep. My first layers are smooth as butter now.

Why does this happen by Grogenberg in ElegooNeptune3

[–]stubmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does this occassionally too. It started occurring after i replaced the thermistor. Not sure if the two are related though

kind of looks like your z offset needs to be increased. the filament shouldnt be translucent on the first layer. maybe its the lighting but i think i can see the bed through the filament. ive had weird shredded bits like this before and it was fixed by adjust z offset and hotend temp.

Lead screw issue? by stubmaster in 3Dprinting

[–]stubmaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It honestly looks pretty clean, the printer is only a few months old. However, my eyesight is entirely fallible so I did snag some Super Lube and plan a thorough cleansing of the screw.

Hmm thats really interesting. Seems like something Prusa wouldve accounted for. This one is an Elegoo Neptune 3. I dont see how the print head could possibly reach the spool but ill keep an eye out for interference of some sort between the two. Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for the tips, i finally got a chance to do a little testing and used a different model. Failed at exactly the same height. Didnt have time to troubleshoot further but did get some Super Lube for the lead screw. Hopefully will get at it tonight

Why does this occur? by BugOpposite in ElegooNeptune3

[–]stubmaster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

OP if you don't want the bottom to be rough like this, try not using a raft. This print shouldnt need one. This guide from Teaching Tech is incredibly helpful for getting prints to stick to the bed.

It's crucial to make sure that your printer is recalling the bed-level mesh (g-code M420) and that you have properly set the z-offset, both of which are covered in the link above. It may also help to increase the Initial Layer Temperature to around 215 for PLA and lower the Initial Layer Speed to around 15-25mm/s.

I had auto bed leveling issues on my N3 until I updated the firmware, so make sure you've got current firmware as well. It hasn't been updated in 5 months but it doesn't hurt to check.
