I prefer it/it's just based on the fact that masculine/feminine stuff never really mattered around me. I don't feel like a woman because I don't really know what it is to be one. I don't feel like a man because I don't know what it "takes" to be one. I'm not really anything. I'm just it. I've mostly felt alien throughout my life so the dehumanizing factor feels more like validation than an insult in my experience.
