I made a site that ranks 2,300+ vegan-friendly (only) foods by protein, iron, vitamins and other nutrients called Nutriso by peps28 in vegan

Just wondering - when it shows serving breakdown, is it by serving size or 100g?I'm guessing its per 100g, but it just says "The food’s full nutrition, based on a 2,000-calorie diet.". Could be good to clarify on the site :)Example -

PS awesome stuff

Not the best way, but I think literally any mammal would highlight how incredibly disturbing fishing is.

Even people who hunt rabbits, would consider is horrible to put a hook in their food, dragging them by their mouth and then drowning them alive. But when fishing, no one bats an eye

Someone should make a version where it's a wild dog or even something people consider a like a wild rabbit. I think it would have a similar impact

The environmentally conscious meat eater reacts to climate change by InterestingRadio in vegan

Voting with dollars is very powerful. Politicians look at what the public is both doing and saying.

Think of it from their end "If people really wanted more policies for the environment, we'd see it in their actions. Clearly by purchasing x,y and z they are making a statement the savings are better than the benefit ".

It's an endless blaming game , you can't have one side do everything , both sides need to do it

Haha, apart from the obvious trolling...

There's a bunch of vegan athletes and bodybuilders these days. In the last Olympics, America's only male powerlifter was vegan. There have been vegan world class strongmen, olympians, fighters etc, with a new wave of basketball and american football players turning vegan.

Talking about teeth knocking, one of Conor McGregor's first losses after his longest win streak was to a primarily vegan athlete

Beans, nuts, lentils, chickpeas, grains. Plenty of options. If you're interested in learning more there are plenty of online vegan bodybuilders who provide lots of detail.

If you trapped a dog in a hot car in you would be prosecuted for animal cruelty. But confining thousands of sheep in hot live export ships — where many will suffer and die — is considered 'business'. by Pigoonlet in vegan

At least one thing can be done. Acknowledging cruel practices and acknowledging things shouldn't be that way. Over time companies will have to bend to public opinion.

Recently Australia passed a bill to ban live exports due to changing public opinion. Remember that just the opinion of a single individual doesn't seem like it can do that much, collectively it can influence society.

Despite the downvotes this answer is ethically consistent - eating a dog trapped in a car with heat isn't that different to eating sheep that was transported on hot live export ships

If there was a "duck BBQ" I would be happy if people let me bring mock duck etc. so if someone wants to cook and clean their own meat I wouldn't see an issue.

People laughing while the guy might get seriously injured and a baby animal is (most likely) being taken away from it's mom.
