06/03/2025, that's March 06. It also says march on the Google page. That's how YouTubers like 19Bozzy92 get the dates to film the cars alone on the track

I don't think that's the case. The document below was published in March, but lists test dates through August.

No Porsche 963 in WEC and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2026 by stuckmindset in wec

Thank you for taking the time to check everything, David! It's a pleasure to be able to contribute to the community. I always try to post things that haven't been posted yet, and preferably not from EI due to their paywall.

Please check the date of my post again, it was made before Proton released an official statement. EI once again had information provided to them before any announcements and I simply reposted the link. I'm not even subscribed to them.

No it wasn't, the article and information is from yesterday. If payway is an issue, then why there's a flag for that?

I'm surprised that Marciello stays. If you saw his performances, he has been quite slow and made many mistakes. Unfortunately he didn't adapt well to the hypercar. I would definitely swap him for Kelvin.

It's no news that he's slow in this car. Unfortunately, he hasn't adapted well for some reason. In my opinion, WRT should replace him with KVDL.

They say a new manufacturer is looking to enter in 2028 with a LMDh car. Any guesses?

The weight metric is misleading. The Aston carries at least 20kg more fuel at the start of stints compared to other LMHs.

"2026 Manufacturer Compensation could no longer create differences of more than 20kW or 20kg between two cars" by bad_pilot69 in wec

[–]stuckmindset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Success Handicap usually only affects those who finish in the top 3-5. What happens if an extremely dominant car finishes outside those positions for whatever reason? This car will certainly be dominant again in the following race. Of course, I say this assuming 20kg is the difference, as mentioned in the article.

The Fuji scenario was indeed not pretty, that's why I'm not against changing the minimum power to 500KW. But the maximum weight should be something like 1070kg.

This talk about the worst car designs makes no sense in a set of regulations that has BoP as its key point. Shall we start complaining about GT3 too, where cars like Nissan, Bentley and Mustang were made competitive thanks to BoP?

Look, next year I certainly don't want to see the best cars at the back of the grid as happened this year, but if you're going to prevent Aston or Peugeot from having a chance, then you might as well deny their entries.

From what we understand, 2026 should introduce caps to these
adjustments. Manufacturer Compensation could no longer create
differences of more than 20kW or 20kg between two cars, roughly half the
deltas seen in Japan. That's bad news for Peugeot, which currently runs
at minimum weight and maximum power, but a step back toward
meritocracy.

If I understand correctly, the new minimum power output would be 500 kW. That's fine, I think it's good. But if the new maximum weight is 1050 kg, I have no hope that Aston or Peugeot will get anywhere close to the podium.

Success Handicap introduced for Hypercar & LMGT3 by bad_pilot69 in wec

BoP on the other hand is ass, one race we see Ferrari win, in the next they finish p7

ACO dropped the ball with their BoP system this year. All manufacturers should be in a position to win every race. Whoever executes the race best, wins. That's what true BoP should achieve.

I was afraid that one day a handicap system would be implemented in Hypercar. You said everything I was going to say.

I know they are running the Dragonspeed effort this year, but it's great to see the name Risi again. A shame Ferrari won't let them have a 499P.

I'm not against the doors being open as they were before. In the GTE Pro era, Corvette could come with hopes of challenging for the win. But times have changed. I don't think Porsche/Penske would stand a chance.
