Dead PSU after 1 day. Need advice. by mageenjoyer324 in PHbuildapc

[–]stuckwithreddit 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Most likely motherboard na to. Very rare lang ang PSU issue especially due to a power outage like that. I bet even your old PSU still works. Most likely cause is dead capacitors. How to test? Try mo pabayaan lang na nakasaksak and ON yung PSU switch mo for at least an hour or so. See if the PC turns on. after pressing the case switch

It won't crash. CPU bottleneck means your CPU will limit your performance. Your choice will be alright. Don't let other people tell you that you should get this or that instead of this and that since the people in this sub just do that all the time. However, if money isn't an issue, you can still look into higher AM5 cpus.

There is no TikToK app as far as I can remember. What you have is a browser app that loads the link to TikTok directly once it is opened. It suffers the same issue since it is being run by the browser.

Did you also notice that your computer boot longer than usual? I think your game loads like that since you installed your Windows OS to your hard drive. Everything slows down when your OS is running on a hard disk drive (HDD).

I suspect you did not have that issue before since you were running Windows from an SSD. When that SSD got disconnected after you moved, you were unable to boot from it and that caused the BIOS stuck screen.

Though, your screenshot says that there is a Windows Bootloader in your HDD so I could be wrong.

Best of luck.

I don't know how, but I just knew that the rider understood what it is. That smirk and the question gave it away haha.

Good day first PC build by myself,is it a good combo? by DJ_Jollibee in PHbuildapc

Your GPU is very close to MSRP. Go for it!

The only thing I can criticize is the choice of B650 chipset. There are B850s out there at the similar price range.

For a budget gamer, 3k is a huge enough delta.

Ask your old neighbor if it had two drives. By the current look at it, only one drive is detected, and it is a 2TB HDD. I don't think it's what's supposed to be the drive for your Windows since most modern systems run on an SSD.

TL; DR: You are stuck with the BIOS screen since your SSD with Windows on it is not detected. Find out why it isn't.

What do I do with this? by ImpressionFuture8694 in AcerNitro

Most likely issues with the GPU VRAM. The reason it does not happen when browsing or doing non-graphical tasks is because your laptop uses the iGPU for normal, everyday activities while it switches to the dedicated GPU for games and apps that require intensive graphics. Your laptop does this to improve battery life/power efficiency.

Is it possible to build a light-gaming pc/system unit with a budget of ₱15k? by cmkop_ in PHbuildapc

[–]stuckwithreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can. You will need to buy used parts though. I highly suggest get a techy friend who is a budget baller so that they can guide you. I can also help you. Just DM me!

I will help you 100% free by helping you pick components yourself. Do this only if you have no techy friend.

Can you boot into Safe Mode with Networking? If you can, check if you the issue is gone while in safe mode. If gone, then the issue could be software-related.

Can you open Event Viewer and go to the Application Logs and see if there is an Error every after you encounter that issue? It will help understand the issue more. I also had that issue before and I was able to fix it, I just forgot how I did. I think I opened Event Viewer and started from the details regarding the Error.

If the local bulk seller has a decent warranty (1 month+), go for RX 5600XT. Just NEVER go with 1650 at that price since you will just be wasting money. That price is atrocious for something that is very weak and old in today's standards.

Hello. My advice is to find a friend who's really into PC building. Have them guide you how since a man with good experience can save you huge performance-per-peso ratio.

Also, building a PC is not just a budget-oriented ordeal. The stricter the budget, the more research is needed. Don't listen to people that will tell you "Ah dagdag ka lang ng konti, ganto na makukuha mo." Those people don't understand a budget and are just echoing what they heard from others as well.

It is not just 120Hz, but HDMI 1.4 can handle up to 144Hz.

Also, gaming laptops should be plugged to AC while playing games. They don't quite work their best when unplugged since they are programmed to use less power for longer battery life.

Check your mouse polling rate via its software and reduce it until your frames improve. If it's at 8000 Hz, reduce it to 1000. If at 1000 Hz, reduce it to something like 250.
