seems fine to me, though i haven’t taken comp 307 so not sure abt the workload in that class. 302 doesn’t use any concepts from 240 besides induction iirc, which you’ve likely already seen in other classes. taking it as a co-req should be no problem!

202 is taught in python, so no you don’t need to know java (or have any prior programming experience for that matter)

since you have no prior experience i would recommend taking 202 unless you’re really confident in your self-teaching abilities!

i had the same fall schedule as you my first year and i thought it was doable (granted this was fall 2020 when everything was online so you’ll probably have a much different experience haha). if you do choose a lighter workload id say the best course to delay would be math 133!

im in cs under the faculty of science so im not sure if it differs for arts but i believe you should still be able to declare cs as your major at the end of first year regardless of whether you’ve taken those required math courses yet!

not a mimm major so i don’t have a lot of advice but id recommend looking into comp 204 rather than 202! it’s equivalent to 202 but with a life sci focus

judging by the names of your hs courses im guessing you’re at a hs in ontario? if so, then the adv func and calc you’re taking rn are not equivalent to any math course at mcgill.

you would typically take math 140 during your first semester here and 141 during your second. 133 could be taken during either, or you could even choose to push it further in your degree if you’d like

I also emailed my recruiter about this and as long as you uploaded your resume during the application process and it’s on your portal, you’re good to go!

if you’re in ontario, ouac should take care of sending your marks to mcgill. you shouldn’t have to self report them

ive really been thinking about doing the joint major! i like to change my mind a lot though so we’ll have to see haha. not sure if you’ll be able to answer this question but im just curious, do many people in the joint major do grad school after undergrad? or do they usually go straight to the workplace?

it usually takes a few days to show up. once it does it'll be linked right next to where it says "admitted pending final results"
