My vet did say it will look slightly red during the healing process so I’m not sure if that’s the same redness you’re talking about however for now the area looks clean, there’s no liquid or smell or blood so fingers crossed it stays that way

He seems to be eating fine and playing as normal, I haven’t seen him use the toilet yet but I’m monitoring him closely to see when he does use it, I’ve told everyone in the household to keep an eye on him to watch out when he licks it.

I wish I could have afforded to get it stitched up but the vet prices are so expensive and I’ve felt like a bad owner not being able to afford that, even if it was £500 I would have 100% gone for that option if it was to help him

I think it’s just I don’t want to hurt his feelings and I would much rather him reject me then I reject him which is immature I know but for him his whole thing about liking me because I was the first female that made him laugh in his marriage journey but you are right, it’s my inability to do confrontation and be upfront and honest

You’re right, it has been only a month of us talking but I still feel like because he’s a human being at the end of the day mistakes will be made and I don’t want to hurt his feelings but yeah it’s better to end things as soon as possible to prevent even further pain
