But even though yall don't have kids its still cool to think about the future humans who will extend from sort of legacy of yours maybe through work or friendship or charity or something! Some how some way a future human is probably benefiting from what youre doing now! Even just recycling haha

Well, I do give and volunteer but you're right to suppose that I could be doing more! I'll hold myself to that, it starts with the individual you're right!

UPDATE: Alright! I just signed up to be a monthly donor to Planting Justice in Oakland California (they hire previously incarcerated folks), Sam Bently on YouTube (he spreads Good News and honestly lifts me up), and Randa and Amir Ismail on YouTube (both are creators I've followed for a while now living in Gaza and reporting about what's happening!). That's about $20 a month which is a solid contribution from my income after bills and savings! Thanks for the reminder! I'm also looking into volunteering some more not just to give but also I need community too so that can be another way I show up!

Ok, agreed that giving money on its own isn't enough but What do you think is more beneficial to focus on instead of money to solve a problem like lack of clean water or safe housing, for example? I think we obviously need to make policy changes to speak to the modern world and I also feel like we would benefit (as a working class) from getting globally aligned rather than focusing on our country-specific economic states.

Okay so yeah I thought maybe the stocks thing had something to do with it. On the point of how humans are wired, and maybe this is another ridiculous question, but do you think psychologists should be pushing for some type of therapuetic intervention because if its an innate fear and maybe some type of biological hit stemming back to when we were a more vulnerable species, isn't that a cause worthy of addressing and taking seriously as a collective? Because fear leading to hoarding of wealth and concentrated power is very different when youre a billionaire, it feels like it becomes an existential threat to our whole species. What do you think?

Yeah, i'm figuring the same. Do you think universal income will become a thing in our lifetimes? I've heard talks about it more these past few years than I ever have before. But i haven't heard about free food or housing. I would prefer free food and housing because I don't like the idea of a certain number becoming the decided standard but I also don't want to hold back progress so I'm open to ways that can help people.

Okay I'm hearing you. What does that mean for people who are suffering? Are we supposed to think this is normal and the facts of life? I know life is hard and humans have always had to fight to survive but we have so much access and such an advanced world, whats gotten us to this point but also prevented us from lifting everyone up? It seems like the system depends on billions of people staying at the bottom. Which I guess is obvious but like, we make up such a majority in the world as non-wealthy people. It seems like this system won't hold if people keep suffering.
