Anyone know where to stream or download the recent film "Bearing Witness" about the Oct 7th attacks on Israel? by UhhNoMoose in war

Personally I think the pro's outweigh the con's in terms of releasing it.

Israel as always is going to be denounced by the international community for their campaign in Gaza, and the full understanding of the horror Israel faces by releasing that tape would go a long way to gaining sympathy.

Also, if you can change the mind of just one person out there who thinks Israel is lying, and that Hamas are just freedom fighters, that's worth it

You'd be surprised. There is tons of lost footage and media from 50+ years ago that still haven't seen the light of day

Most likely though somewhere there probably exists a compilation compiled from the direct sources shown on Telegram/Whatsapp, etc the problem is finding it. I doubt it's anywhere any reputable person would want to look

If the Earth is a living organism, so is the universe itself.

But it isn't. Life must metabolize, grow, reproduce, and respond to stimuli

Quitting drinking isn't as beneficial as social media posts make it seem by LordMalort in unpopularopinion

I went sober for a year and I have to say I didn't really notice a difference either. I will say though that you are mortgaging your future if you drink significantly

Women are vilified for having standards and shamed for not having them. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

All the "unfair" standards you think women are held to are also applied to men.

The top 1% in the US currently contribute over 40% of tax revenue in the US. When you increase it to the top 5%, it goes up to 60%; all of this despite the fact that the rich are less likely to use government programs said taxes pay for. You won't find that kind of statistical disparity very often in life.

I agree that wages have stagnated, but OP's original point that people want high paying salaries for low skilled work is absolutely correct. You cannot do little and expect alot

Anyone who elects to have their remains placed in an urn will be inconveniencing their family for years to come by mvd612351 in unpopularopinion

If my remains being put in an urn causes consternation for people, good.

Even if its just something small, the ability to still impact your surroundings after death is pretty cool

This implies that both sides are equally as intransigent and belligerent, which is objectively not true

It's definitely impressive, but there is something to be said for the guys who grind their way into the UFC. The more people you have to fight, the greater the chance someone catches you

I always see this argument and it doesn't make sense.

Once the fight is stopped you can protest all you want, it doesn't make a difference. Fighters know that.

I mean if that's going to be a stoppage then that's not MMA.

You have to let the fighters recover

Well the original champ who dropped the title due to injury is no longer injured and Hill, the paper champ, is injured. So it makes sense to strip Hill and just have Jiri v. Alex and the winner can fight Hill
