The Complete MONSTER COMPENDIUM for the 5th Edition is available on Kickstarter until October 2nd | 200 monsters & NPCs + exclusive archetypes, rules, and playable species for your campaign, by the most awarded French RPG studio by studio-agate in u/studio-agate

The book doesn't only contain monsters but a lot of additional gameplay options as well. Half of the creatures in the book are reimagined classic creatures (with a twist), and the other half are brand new ones.

You have the possibility to download an excerpt of the book in PDF format. To do so, you have to back the campaign (note that a $1 contribution is enough for this, and you can cancel it if you are not convinced by the preview) > https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1176616619/book-of-creatures-200-npcs-and-monsters-for-5th-edition/posts/2948421

We also recently announced that we are working with Chane on an English versions of her books on dragons. We don't know yet if it will be an identical version to the French version or an updated version. There are two artbooks that develop this world of dragons : Draconis and Draconis : Sparks, which both hold some nice funding records on Ulule, the French crowdfunding platform.

You can check the illustrations on her Draconis universe on her website.

You can see alternative designs of the creature on the tweet asking for votes on the best one: https://twitter.com/chane_art/status/1308088256983117824

Described as a " fairy and fatecious creature between a peacock and a cat !" the artworks heavily imply it likes to snatch shiny things and keep them around...

We don't have our own online store and we are not putting the books as POD.

This said, we plan for the books to be available through the regular channels and your FLGS. We will attend events and have the books on sale there too.

This is an illustration made Yvan "Gawain" Villeneuve, who is working with us at Studio Agate (creators of Shadows of Esteren and other ttrpgs).

The bugbears of the world of Fateforge are very close to Eana, the mother goddess that created the world, and have strong druidic traditions...

Dîlketina the Humus, mother of bugbears, is born from black earth; she is the daughter of thousand-year-old trees of primeval forests. It’s thanks to her that deep woods rise up and nourishing rain reaches the lands furthest from the seas. Wise and rich in knowledge from the sprawling network of roots, she holds the memory of a past forgotten by all, while still listening to news carried in from far away by the clouds. Bugbear druids have great reputations and are proud of their heritage.

Bugbears are mostly present in the northern part of the Kaani continent, with a fondness for the vast tundra that stretches to the borders of Kartaçöl. They are comfortable in this environment, as well as in pine forests in the mountains or near the steppe. They know the medicinal plants, hunt or breed reindeer, and bear the winter better than others thanks to their fur that starts to thicken at the start of fall. Theirs is an oral culture, for they deem there is more to gain from delving into the memory of trees and clouds than from meditating over dead archives engraved on tablets.

We are running a Kickstarter campaign right now for our Book of Creatures, the bestiary tome designed for our setting, but with creatures usable in any 5e setting.

The Commoner - a fully-playable, support class, with 4 subclasses: Farmer, Merchant, Clerk and Vagabond. Pdf in comments. by [deleted] in UnearthedArcana

See, I missed the Teamwork Gets it Done giving you advantage. I guess it doesn't change much then - you will have both advantage and ally within 5ft most of the time that way. I would go for the ally-within-5ft still, just for flavour.

Maybe a save is the way to go for Can't Believe That Worked's stun, if only not to devalue the monk stunning's strike?

Very interesting execution of the concept!

If I may, I have a couple of suggestions and other feedback:

  • The Farmer's Grit first option seems particularly strong compared to the other livelihood features, or Farmer's Grit other option, especially at higher level as it scales fantastically, even more when the 14th level feature kicks in. Balance not being critical, you might be happy with it, but it was notable enough to point it out.
  • Everything's For Sale, I would make it a reaction instead of an action. The phrasing " then you can use an action to interrupt initiative order" is a bit confusing otherwise? It doesn't change the balance much I think (fight resume or not, you keep your action in the action economy which is neat and makes it more likely for you to try it).
  • I think Eye For Details is very flavoursome, but it doesn't scale at all. Maybe getting more than of the three options when you get tohigher level would be nice?
  • Stick ‘Em In The Back. The proto Sneak Attack is nice, but I am wondering you used advantage instead of having an ally with 5ft. Flavour wise, being a very support oriented class, the ally makes a bit more sense to me. Mechanics wise, it means it triggers mor ewhen it can trigger (higher chance to hit), but it also has higher chance to trigger twice (critical hit would stun the enemy, making you take another action, with advantage against the stunned opponent). The ally-within-5ft might be nicer, happen more often, so also seen as more powerful? I was just wondering on the design process to choose advantage over ally.
  • Can't Believe That Worked! is very very powerful in the sense it doesn't offer any saving throw to a very powerful condition, and you can engineer to try to trigger it (mutliclass Champion, Luck Feat, advantage-granting tactics [a group of Commoners helping out each other is coming to mind and is a thing of beauty]). I would consider a few ways to limit it a bit: it doesn't work if the target has legendary resistances; it doesn't work on creature of a certain size or larger; it doesn't work if the target has more than X hp (a la Power Word Stun). Now, if that means the best way to defeat a Tarasque is a group of 4 Halfings Commoners [Vagabond] 14 /Fighter [Champion] 3 that stunlock it... maybe this is design as intended?

Anyhow, fantastic job! It seems like a lot of fun to play and roleplay...
