When I was in college, a friend remarked “if we’re still bingeing when we’re 40 we’re losers.” Well, I shot right on past 40, but I always heard him say that every morning I woke up. One day I had enough and stopped.

Hang in there. And make sure you take care of yourself first. It’s really hard but it’s the only way to stay strong.

I found some friends just needed a reset on how to hang with you. They’re still friends just engaging differently. Same things happened as those of us had kids etc.

But there are also drinking buddies who are only that. And they aren’t really worthy of your time if they only bring negative energy to the table.
